  1. Y'know' date=' you might actually be right this time...;)

"Daft Punk..." will definitely get played once I get my hands on a copy. Death From Above are ready and waiting for the right moment.[/quote']

Daft punk would be great, LCD soundsystem got played last night, but i haven't really had a chance to listen to any of the new album other than daft punk so it was abit subdued and i felt stupid for requesting it. the album comes with a bonus disk of all the 7" singles, give it up would probably rock the house.

  2. theres a program on channel 4 on feb 3rd or something about the da vinci code. I think its one of those, "what if it's right" kinda documentaries that play a long for a while, then rubbish it, then say "well maybe...."

It's not important anyway. The whole point is that there will never be enough evidence to prove or disprove the theory, just as there is bugger all evidence to prove the christian theory. Since I dispise the Church, and indeed any institutionalised religion that claims it can speak for an all powerful entity, I prefer the more humanist adaptation of christ's life. That is to say, he liked to fuck.

  3. hehe, ace.

Amon Tobin Soundtracks Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

    Rob Harvilla reports:

Amon Tobin and Tom Clancy, together at last. When Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory-- the third installment in Clancy's insanely popular sneak-up-and-kill-the-bad-guys video game series-- surfaces in late March, video game geniuses will enjoy Tobin's evocative breakbeat soundtrack as they go all Toby Keith on that terrorist ass. Madvillainy has nothin' on this collaboration, which promises the finest gaming musical experience since Parappa the Rapper.

"I tried to write the music as if it was a score for a Dario Argento movie," Tobin declares in a press release for Ninja Tune, which released the soundtrack (simply dubbed Chaos Theory) on CD yesterday. The album, which is Tobin's first studio project since 2002's Out from Out Where, is touted as electronic music crafted and performed entirely on acoustic instruments (orchestras, choirs, tambourines, etc.). Chaos also throws in myriad sonic references to film-scoring giants of yore. "It's both an occasionally slightly camp homage to the great soundtrack composers and a humble attempt to create the genuine article," says Tobin. Tracklist:

    01 The Lighthouse

    02 Ruthless

    03 Theme From Battery

    04 Kokubo Sosho Stealth

    05 El Cargo

    06 Displaced

    07 Ruthless (Reprise)

    08 Kokubo Sosho Battle

    09 Hokkaido

    10 The Clean Up

Chaos Theory the game comes out March 22 for Playstation 2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC, published by UbiSoft. Meanwhile, for Tobin fans who prefer actual human interaction, the man's got a few DJ gigs upcoming:

02-24 Seattle, WA - Chop Suey

    02-25 San Francisco, CA - Bimbo's 365 Club

04-20 Los Angeles, CA - Knitting Factory

04-22 New York, NY - Bowery Ballroom

  4. Red is the colour of the labour movement' date=' black is the colour of anarchists. Many honourable organisations have combined these principles and colours:

    FARC

    ELN (the zapatistas)

    CNT (Spanish anarchist trade union)

    NLA (north-vietnamese liberation organisation)

If you want a person: Buenaventura Durruti[/quote']

try ezln my friend, the eln are a columbian, cuban sponsered, marxist group who like to kidnap people.

Back to socialist college with you!

  5. are we talking about dfa or dfa1979 here?

Both are great, although we are talking about the 1979 variety hense the vice thing. As much as I love James Murphy, it was incredibly shit to make dfa add on the 1979.

Bonus cd with LCD Soundsystem album, woowoo.

  6. I don't really fuck the publisher' date=' he's not really anything to do with the records either, just the print. Bloc Party just signed to Vice Records though which is GREAT for everyone involved!![/quote']

its all about death from above slagfeatures

  7. The film should have been called "three incredibly bored ghosts"

also, why the fuck didn't they just fuck him over in the first place eh? eh? why use random lift operators when you can fucking push people off of high places eh?

    piece. of. shit.
