  1. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woop orgasm, um :O
  2. My Chemical Romance was amazing last night! a two piece from Canada opened up for the night (Bass player and singer/drummer), can't remember their name for the life of me. They were really good, they had a very dirty sound with some nice electronica thrown in for good measure. Didn't think a two piece of that nature could generate so much noise. The mighty yourcodenameis:milo came on next and they re-affirmed why they are going to be huge, by playing a very tight set. The new tunes are sounding huge, new single out in October (hint hint nudge nudge wink wink etc), followed by album some point next year, can't wait. Managed to get a setlist from a very nice security guard (owe a pint to him next time). Then on with the show....My Chemical Romance walked onto the stage, and then the magic happened. They opened with Thanks For The Venom, then Honey This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Both Of Us. Much ass shaking and sing-along antics followed highlights including Our Lady Of Sorrows, Helena and You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison. They finished their set with the amazing Vampires Will Never Hurt You, which set the place on fire (no not literaly). Before the gig I managed to get Gerard to draw my a nice sketch in my sketch book of a vampire, and a great night was had by all in attendance. Roll on next time MCR come back to Scotland, Aberdeen perhaps.....
  3. Sparta + Million Dead - Sunday 3rd of October King Tuts Wah Wah Hut yourcodenameis:milo - Monday 4th October King Tuts Wah Wah Hut I'm there, the question to everyone is, Are YOU there?
  4. You'll be able to get all of the albums from One-Up, though I'm not to sure about The Rising Tide. I got my copy from amazon, I think at the time I tried to order it from One-Up it was deleted (acording to them). I'd highly advise getting LP2 first, the first time I heard it was when I bought it for a friends birthday, he didn't get the cd until a month after his birthday
  5. Indeed, Reuben must love it up here. Then again we always seem to give them a good reception, so its nice that they repay the favour by coming up so often. I was speaking to Calum from Turning 13, he reckons they'll be supprting as well, though its not confirmed yet, should be very good.
  6. Just checked Reubens website today and not only are they supporting the Biffy, but also Hundred Reasons! Can't wait will be a gig to remember! (then again I might be slightly biased in that regard )

  8. LP2 (The Pink album), was the next release after Diary, a mini album it was similar musically but Jeremy Enigk's vocals are more surreal. Kinda hard to describe its beautiful, but very difficult to distinguish what he's actually singing. How It Feels To Be Something On was the next album, emo mingled with alt rock a good folow up to Diary as far as I'm concerned, as what is the point in releasing similary styled albums? The next release was a live album which had tracks from the previous release, a very good album as it completly captures the live SDRE experience (damn I wish I'd seen them live ). The final SDRE album is The Rising Tide, probably my least fave release (but then again I haven't given it too many listens yet), it follows the same path as How It Feels, but the lyrics are more simpler in some ways (not in a bad way though). The Fire Theft, think SDRE meets U2 if you want a simple introduction. Their album is highly acomplished musically, there's a beutiful feel good factor to the whole album. And its one album you can truly appreciate playing back to back. Well there's my tupence worth
  9. So what are your fave SDRE tracks? Mine are Song About An Angel, Friday, Red Elephant, Every Shining Time You Arrive and The Ocean. And every other song for that matter.......
  10. Lets hope they play The Art Of Belief this time..........
  11. Anyone here on the boards like Sunny Day Real Estate (SDRE)? Just wondering as, far as I'm concerned they are one of the finest bands to ever grace the "Emo scene". Anyone that hasn't checked them out yet would do well to pickup Diary followed by their Live album. The reason I like SDRE so much is that over the course of their albums, they never followed a formulaic emo pattern, as they went on they went kinda alt-rock along the way, and Jeremy Enigk has an amazing voice. Best band out of Seatle if you ask me.
  12. How many HWM fas here like the Alkaline Trio split? One of my fave split eps of all time, love the Alkaline Trio song Queen Of Pain, and its worth owning for "God Deciding" alone.
  13. Can't wait for the new album, Flight And A Crash is still currently my fave followed by No Division. Caution is very nice and tuneful, Alright For Now is great live. PLEASE PLAY KING TUTS AGAIN?
