Im actually liking it a lot more than the random tracks I had on my computer from it. Think i'll just loop it all of tonight and see how much it grows on me....but no, this is no Colony or Whoracle.
EDIT (2 hours later): Actually I have listened to this album two and a half times through so far and I fucking LOVE IT!
The Quiet Place and My Sweet Shadow particulary 0wn.

I really liked Reroute to Remain, however from what i've heard from "Soundtrack to your Escape" i'm slightly doubtful about this album...think i'll still get it. Didn't know it was out today though, thanks for the reminder!

In my opinion Guitar Pro is way better, you get heaps more complete tabs from http://www.mysongbook.com for it and can view the standard notion for it.

Dynamic music is good music....if its half good in the first place.

Opeth are the genius of all geniusness, Mike is godly ...If I had written the Drapery Falls, i'd worship myself.

Oooh whats 'Save the last dance' about....if it's not a chick flick with touches of comedy or not set in an American High School....then it doesn't matter.

The former two post of the last three amuse me.

Ha, that is a good look alike...oh I love "Ten Things I Hate About You"
Anyway, yeh Nightwish are pretty awesome, Oceanborn is a solid album....especially "Walking in the Air"

I like the way Hog describes things,
when you say "egyptian style scale", everyone knows what you mean.

I'll second that, I haven't seen you guys play before but I was VERY impressed...it was very easy to enjoy, plus the banter between songs was hilarious.

I played piano from when I was 6 til about 12 when I picked up the guitar, and I stopped piano because it just became laborious having to practice and I couldn't play the kinda music I was getting into on the piano, I got to grade 4 I think. Although nowadays I wish I had at least practiced a we bit cos i'm not as good at it when I go back to try piano....however, I have been considering picking it up again, or maybe just a keyboard because I find that the music I am getting into NOW relates to the piano a lot more. I did learn the intro to "Her Ghost in the Fog" on the piano and a few bits from "Learning to Live" and it sounds fucking fantastic!

For "The White Atom"??
o_O
EDIT: If you're serious, I play guitar and im looking for something to do with it.

anyway, I'd really go with the idea of playing the vocal melody on guitar (or keyboard...banjo, whatever) ..singing to that, then doing the changes on the instrument and getting the next singer to sing to that.
I've no idea how anyone can tell what note they sing without an instrument.

Blind Guardian - And then there Was Silence
Symphony X - The Odyessy
Iron Horse - The Unforgiven (Bluegrass Metallica cover)
Megadeth - Duke Nukem Theme

What does it actually mean having "core" to the end of the name of a genre?
Just wondering after reading the term "pop metal core"... is that any different to Pop Metal?...and there's Grindcore etc
Genre-ising (so? its a word now) can get way over the top.
