  1. well said that man.

actually if you are still living in Northern Ireland it would make sense to support a team close to home (even though Inverness is probably about 150 miles away!)' date=' it is probably the closest SPL club to you.

Plus we are the best.[/quote']

Geography not a strong point then? Here's a list of SPL clubs closer to Northern Ireland:

    Celtic

    Dundee United

    Dunfermline

    Falkirk

    Hearts

    Hibs

    Kilmarnock

    Livingston

    Motherwell

    Rangers

  2. Just finished watching Das Experiment. What a brilliantly clever take on what is fast becoming a very tired genre (albeit, it's from 2001, so was probably a wee bit ahead of the game). With this, Goodbye Lenin!, The Edukators and Downfall, I'd have to say that German films of late are head and shoulders above anything that's been spewed off the Hollywood production line.

Lest we forget, the Coen Brothers last two films were Intolerable Cruelty and The Ladykillers :puke:

  3. It was the first time I'd managed to catch them live' date=' but it was a bloody good show. Managed to (for once) make the effort to go front row, in front of the Rev D. Wayne.[/quote']

Did he not collapse on you in a heroin-addled daze?

  4. Couldn't go to the Academy gig due to my mate (inconsiderately) getting married that day, but will definitely be there at the T on the Fringe gig. A few of the songs sounded familiar, so it may be that they've been playing them live for a couple of years now, or may be from the demos my mate has for PITB.

  5. Haven't had much chance to listen to this until this weekend, wasn't too sure about it at first, but on repeat listenings, it's definitely a mighty return to form for the 3. Starts off with Last Train To Mashville, which is a bit too Power In The Blood-y, but from then on is proper, 3-style country.

Highlights are Terra Firma Cowboy Blues, Have You Seen Bruce Richard Reynolds? (the Johnny Cash song Johnny Cash never sang) and How Can I Protect You - the most pop song they've done since Exile On Main Street.

    Like Johnny Cash? Go buy.

  6. Well, unsurprisingly I went. What a piss poor setlist. I'd built myself up to them play good song after good song once they'd stopped playing the crap off the last two albums, they played Orange Crush (brilliant), then started playing shite off the last two albums again (admittedly interspersed with the odd great song).

Someone really needs to tell them their last two albums were balls.

That setlist posted earlier practically made the decision I was going for me. Wish I'd gone to the Green now.

  7. I'm desperately trying to get my hands on the track "Bug Powder Dust" by Bomb The Bass....i've asked a few friends' date=' and tried various P2P sites....even tried ITunes, and am getting nowhere.

If any of you very fine people have this track amongst your collections, I'd be eternally grateful for an mp3 file.

    Yours in hopeful anticipation.....!!

    Cheers

Take it you're after the original? I may have the Chemical Brothers mix kicking around somewhere, but won't be able to dig it out for you until the weekend. Might also have the original on a mix album, but obviously it'd obviously have bits of other tracks at the start and end.

If you're interested, drop me a PM, as I'll probably remember so long as it's in my email.

  9. some utter fucking bastard student on some wanky fucking freshers week night out decided it would be hilarious to rip the wing mirror off my brand fucking new car' date=' along with those of every other car on the street. 150 excess and 2 years of my no claims gone for nothing (thanks to them managing to scratch the paintwork and pull the window surround out of shape).[/quote']

Shite-ing fucking fuck. Some bastard decided to crash into my car in the car park right outside my work today and then drive off. I've now lost 3 fucking years of no claims in 9 months without doing a single bloody thing wrong.
