  1. Not sure if anyone ever checks these forums, but just seems like the most logical place to post something like this.

We have a new t shirt design available for pre-order (although they have been ordered on our end and will be here middle of next week hopefully). It was designed by Dan Goldsworthy. It is awesome. And some folks on here might dig the design.

You can buy this shirt, as well as other shirts, vinyl and CD's at www.preludetothehunt.bandcamp.com

This is the "Goatface Killah" Shirt.

  2. that is because they people who mention black flag in comparisons generally sound like they have never heard black flag in their life.

First off, Black Flag are HARDLY are a hardcore band, much more firmly rooted in the punk scene, then they became a sludge band which influenced a fuck load of bands from The Melvins to EYEHATEGOD etc.

Black Flag as a band are more comparable to a band like The Stooges. Because that is generally what they do, a much heavier, darker and sometimes faster version of The Stooges.

ADTR are like a metallized version of The Movielife or New Found Glory and sound absolutely NOTHING like Black Flag and shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence.

There is very little "hardcore" or "punk" in ADTR.

    "but what is punk"

  3. They are closer to Black Flag than they are Blink 182 tho. I dont think he was saying they are a copy of each other.

    why? because they are "angrier"?

what a load of shite. That band are NOTHING like Black Flag.

New Found Glory are ultimately responsible for the crossing over of hardcore into pop punk.

ADTR are definitely more comparable to a band like new found glory than they are to black flag.

what the fuck are you people even thinking....jesus.

  4. They are definitely not pop-punk. Genres evolve but when such a marked contrast starts to appear, genres branch off. That's how punk became pop-punk, skate-punk, thrash-punk and horror-punk.

ADTR etc are a new sub-genre. Way closer to comparison to Black Flag than Blink 182.

    xx

you did NOT just compare ADTR to Black Flag....seriously...?
