  3. Most folk who lose stuff tend to get in touch pretty quick, and if it's here, it gets back to them.

I can only hold on to lost property for so long, so if you think it's lost you need to contact me asap.

I do beleive there's a bag still in the cloakroom from the weekend with the ticket still on it, but don't quote me on that.

If you lose something in the club, you need to contact me.

If it's lost in HJB, then Mark or Rob are the best people to speak to.

It's terrible, and they are pretty fucking obvious. Do something about them, I'm sure they don't spend too much money once they're inside anyways, there's only so many drinks you can buy with your paper-round money.

I love the complaints by folk who have only just truned 18 themselves. I wonder how long you've been coming to Moshulu? I also wonder if you've been ID'd lately, since we've cracked down on the subject?

  5. Sincere apologies for the situation over the weekend. Lighting is due to a wiring fault, the sparky should be in within the hour to fix the problem.

Lack of bog roll due to a non-delivery on Friday, but we bought some from the shop, so I don't know why you couldn't find any.

The was bog roll in the gents all of the weekend.

Onlynik, are you an Aussie? I thought I was the only person in Aberdeen with Cold Chisel in my stereo. I played Rising Sun in HJB last night, hands down one of the best bands ever. Definitely one of Down Under's finest, up there with ACDC and INXS. Get Kylie out of this fucking country and get Barnesy in!

And, damn, Midnight Oil rock! Peter Garret, what a guy!

    :woohoo:

  7. It's fair to say they'll be in the building, but just where will be up to them. We've created a dressing room upstairs with private access, but we would certainly encourage them to mingle, either in the club or HJB. We'll probably do a similar afterparty to Less Than Jake, with the back room being VIP.

The same back room which now has more bench seating for your added comfort.

  8. What utter nonsense. Anyone who likes the music and don't cause bother are welcome, as with most clubs. All the people I've met in the club seem to be friendly and talkative, but then, I am the manager so that may have something to do with it.

    Fuck. .. .... .. . drunk.. ... . .. on .. . . power

Oh, and Johnny, there's always people starting at you. They're called bouncers. ;)

Nowadays i have me a provisional license..and have yet to be asked for it..except at Drakes.

It may well have been an over 21 night, but before my time, so I can't say for sure. You've not been ID'd because you've done work for us and we know your age. I'm sure I wished you a happy 18th in person. :nono:

Regulars will probably notice that if we require ID of you, the bouncers would be unlikely to ask again.

  10. Okay, dress code is as follows:

Fetish, cross dressing, bondage gear, fantasy, SM etc are preferred. For those without the gear or means to aquire it, a full "head to toe in black" policy is implemented. This means strictly no trainers, blue jeans (black jeans are reluctantly accepted), sports wear, bright t-shirts etc. A bare (niche) minimum of black leather shoes, black jeans and a plain black shirt would suffice, but we prefer folk to make an effort.

Please remember that I will not budge on the dress code, and absolutely everyone from 18 - 108 will need ID to gain entry for legal reasons.

  11. There are quite a few 'regulars' that are getting ID'd at the momment. This is not biased or malicious, but you guys have to understand that if ex-boyfriends, friends, enemies or whatever tell us we have 17 year olds drinking, we have to take notice, regardless of how often people have been in before.

We're running a business here, and as such have a responsibility to do everything by the book. And you'd be surprised how many people have said "oh, okay, I'll bring my passport next time" and simply haven't been seen since.

With bands begining to play in the club in a couple of weeks time, anyone over 14 will have the opportunity to check the club out.

To those who genuinely are 18+, sorry, but that's the way it is.

Jay, I am the manager, NOT the DJ (unless you're in AcupunKture or Henry J Beans) The DJ's have set styles to adhere to for their various nights, and I in no way dictacte their set lists. What you read in my listening to section merely states what I choose to listen to in my time...not yours. You won't hear any of my 'pile of crap' on a Thursday or Saturday. And besides, they account for about 30% of my cd collection, the rest being metal (Pantera, White Zombie etc), Alternative (RCHP, RATM etc) and Indie (White Stripes and such) with a sufficient dose of blues, jazz and Hip Hop. So I think you'll find my taste very suitable to the position I'm in, although I now wonder why I'm trying to justify that to you, or anyone for that matter.

You haven't been in for 2 weeks? Then you'll be unaware of the major changes done in that time.

Music old and new? We've got it all, and yet you ask for RATM which is just a little passe. With the amount of new music released every month, how the hell can you expect to hear the same tunes every week that you once listened to in the Palace?

I have absolutely no idea who you are. But I look forward to meeting you in Moshulu in the near future.

  13. What a shame you feel this way.

    *sighs* okay, here we go.

    1. It's not a metal club, it's an alternative club. Metal night is caged on Thursday. Indie night is Monday. Rock night is Saturday. Alternative nights is Friday.

    2. I can't coordinate bar staff, security, promoters and DJ's and still have time to coordinate a mosh pit. That's YOUR job. The paying punter.

    3. I think the DJ's do a great job, and hey, 1400 heads in the door every week can't be wrong.

    4. Considering I drink in the club after we close every night, I know that the drinks taste fine. Should you have a problem ask for me personally next time you're in.

    5. We've cracked down considerably against underagers as of late. Perhaps you'd care to take on the job of IDing every person who looks 18- every night we're open?

    6. We never set out to be a replacement for the Palace. I think you'll find that we were open and running Caged while the Palace was still open, but I could be wrong. It's before my time. I never got to see the fabled Palace, and can hence not possibly be accused of trying to replace or better it.

Further to this, I've spent a whole lot of my own time refurbing and getting things ready for the next stage of Moshulu's life. Jay, I'm truly sorry you feel this way. Hopefully the live bands make things a bit better for you in the future.
