    I asked for Amon Amarth in Bassment and the guy didn't know who they were. I never request music except after too many drinks and then request what I know they wont play (stupid, isn't it?).

    Saxon sound more likely and it is actaully a criminal offence not to play them in the land of metal.

    if anyone wants to bring in a compliation cd for me to review

    then i'd be more than willing to play anything that i deem to be "suitable" :)

    my old house in bieldside had loads of wildlife around it

    - mostly cos it was next to the forest

    we had a lot of hedgehogs, deer, rabbits, foxes etc. usual countryside stuff

    i always see some big birds of prey hanging out by the road out to westhill..

    saw a massive sea bird down at the beach one time..

    i think it was broke cos it didnt look like it wanted to fly

    not sure what it was exactly.. but it was huuuge

    one time... i saved a bunch of baby squirrels that lived in our roof at our house in Reading

    we were pulling out some insulation and i found them nesting in there..

    the mummy one came.. then ran away

    so i took them outside in a box

    and she took them up a tree one by one..

    it was one of those awwww.. moments

    i think the Rembrandt museum is going through lots of refurbishment at the mo

    dont know if you can get into everything

    the brewery is muchos fun

    and the van gogh museum is pretty cool...

    goto the bourbon st. blue club.. it rocks! :)

    and the jazz place round the corner... whats it called? i forget..

    i had a yummy steak last time we went over there..

    you should do that too

    hmm..

    maybes check out Rookies Juice Bar... for some em... juice... ;)

    we never went into the arena bit

    but i watch for a while from the fence by the 2nd stage

    i have a couple of photos that i took through the fence.. so they're a bit lame

    but i did manage to get a fairly decent video clip of one of the guys doing a front flip

    which was pretty cool..

    maybe if everyone spent more time telling people about their music and promoting gigs things would be better

    maybe we should start a website... it could promote all kinds of bands/artists/musicians from aberdeen... we'lll have a big list of them... what to call it... hmmm..

    let me get back to you on that..

    i think the question on everyone's lips is..

    i think everything is mostly the same as it's always been

    i was thinking about this the other day

    cos i thought.. mmm i dont know any of these bands (referring to various gig listings i had seen)

    but as you get older and your social circles and circumstances change i guess sometimes you dont notice what's going on in front of you

    there seems to be a large number of youngsters running around belmont street on a weekend going to gigs at drummonds and kef

    so there must be something going on surely!?

    i no longer have a list of all the bands

    so i dont know who they all are

    but there is still just as much going on - if not more - than there was 5 years ago

    all this "whats up with the scene" "the scene sucks" "there is no scene" nonsense has been discussed about 1000 times on these forums

    i have never seen any conclusions to the debate as yet..

    i shall wait patiently..
