  1. Hey folks.

eric euan are going on a wee tour in july and were wondering if anyone can recommend a good/cheap place to rent a van or mpv?

The dates we need it for are 15th July - 24th July

It needs to seat 5 and have room for drumkit, amps, guitars etc..

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    eric euan

  2. Ditto

fudge have a gig at drummonds on fri 21st july. it's part two of our birthday celebrations...

we have some bands booked' date=' but i thought i might throw the gauntlet down and see if anybody particuarly faniced playing...

there's no great rush to get anyone booked, and it's not as though i've asked loads of bands who can't play (yet), so i'm promising nothing, but if you fancy it, the offer may be there... :)[/quote']

that day is as well also my birthday day too as well.....also too.

We might be up for the 8th. What's the dealio?

  3. Jings

Bill Ely & the Catnips new album 'Wings To The Bird' date=' Fangs To The Beast' will also be available at the Moorings tonight.

The album consists of 18 tracks of loud & varied Cajun Punk, our selected favourites from the 57 songs captured during the session. We can confidently describe this collection as sick and, in places, cruel. There are shouts, sings, drums and guitar. The whole lot can be yours for just 4.

Incidentally, 'Wings To The Bird, Fangs To The Beast' was recorded by eric euan's very own Ox. He succeeded in capturing 100% bile, which is a singular feat. Believe it.[/quote']

    I am frightened yet curious

  6. Me too!

I had Mark Donald when he was at BSM. You're right' date=' he is a "dude". A really nice friendly guy who struck an honest balance between confidence-building praise and criticism when it was due. Never lost the rag or went a bit weird like a lot of instructors seem to, according to this thread. He likes the Ramones, too.[/quote']

I had Mark too! He was awesome. I could drive well but just couldn't relax enough to get into the swing of it. Mark suggested one day that we pop an old eighties mix tape of his onto the stereo. We shot the shit about music for a while and before I knew it I'd totally chilled.

Good to hear he's still playing that eric euan cd I gave him.

  7. Hmmm

Simon Gall? That'd be sweet ass. You'd suprise me' date=' Fudge to pick such a noble act as I believe he and his fine companions have failed to be nominated (or am I wrong?).

I'm almost at the point of putting money on Stayover. But I won't... it's immoral.

Staccato Set are my dreamboat, but they played 2 years back so I doubt they will return so swiftly.

Copy Haho? That would be another band I'd actually stand and watch rather than run to the loo for. :D[/quote']

Wasn't it this year that the awesome Staccato Set played? If I remember the venue near emptied before they'd even gotten half way through their set. Some people just don't know whats good for them. This was also the only reason that Neish from eric euan and I ended up dancing on stage with them and neish joining Ziggy in giving a vocal guitar solo. Honest, it was. We were just showing the Set boys some love.

  8. Yowza!

    I'll just stoltify my perambulation......YOWZA!

    Scanners were ok, not great.

PUSA however, were amazing. Very very very few bands have such an entertaining stage show but the tunes to back it up like these fella's. Rock of the highest, purest caliber.

  9. Yup indeedie do..

Well I have to say that Vandelays didn't disapoint. Some great hooks and awesome riffs.

The A forest were not bad. Had a cello, cool. My only gripe would be the vocals. The female singer has a great voice but she doesn't use it, she needs to grow some balls and open up a little. Like, I say, great voice but she needs to push it. This would totally fuel the songs further and tie them together better. Otherwise though a very enjoyable evening.

  10. why hello..

Sorry buddy I don't have a website. To give you an idea though my sets are just thrown together acoustic tit bits. a very strummy strummy power vocal type of thing. But I will have the amazing chric carroll (one of the best acoustic guitarists in town) doing a few tunes with me. So don't be put off. There may also be an appearance by Neil (drummer/percussionist) of eric euan & red man walking fame.

I can also almost guarantee you'll love the Vandelays too. It's hard not too, super catchy vocal harmonies mixed with pop rock riffs. They were excellent when we played with them at the Maple album launch.
