  1. Short notice but Ablach are playing The Tunnels this Sunday as part of Transition Extremes Battle Of The Bands.

Turns out it's an allday event starting at 3pm and we'll be playing at 9.15pm, Entry is 3!

Other bands playing include: Delayed Reaction, Right Hand Left, Switch, Empire and Malera.

There's 20 hours free practice time up for grabs for the winning band so your support would be appreciated!

  2. at no point did I say that it should be a crusty band supporting a crusty headliner, however a namby pamby, bland, acoustic indie band supporting discharge is stupid. it does absolutely nothing for anybody involved other than filling an alloted time and makes the band and the promoter look like a (bunch of) wally (s), not to mention bore the tits out of da punx/those attending.

With no offense intended to Stitchman or his band i completely second this statement.

Jake - You emailed Steve then....?

  3. Local bands that i can see being suitable for opening Discharge, (just my personal opinion btw):

Fuctoff - Teabags get yer finger out and email Steve...

    Element 106 - They've come on alot recently, B-R-A-I-N....

    Hijacks

    Cranial

    Forever Tied

There's other bands in Aberdeen which are heavy and i have alot of time for but these spring to mind as being A)available to gig right now and B)suitable for the bill...

  4. No worries and genuinely thanks to C35 sat was awesome, though its the other Dave(Teabags on here) that you've been emailing Gemz he was interested in doing Atomgevitter in there on the 30th, i dealt with Dave C35 directly for my booking (way too many Daves in this thread now, very confusing!), anyway good luck twisting his arm, hope we see some more heavy nights in there soon!

  5. Sat night was one of the best gigs i've seen in years, thank you to the venue for letting us do the gig there and apologies for the damages, none of which were on purpose or caused by myself personally though being the promoter i feel part responsible, however a deposit was paid for the night and its my understanding they shall be taken from this(though the internet is no place to discuss financial matters and i'll speak with Dave personally reagrding the damages and their cost to fix). Anyway cheers again to those who came along, the bands that played and the venue.

  6. What the labels press release said, the release is available now - there is the option to download it for free, cheers to all those who helped us out over the years, respect:

Political crust powerhouse FILTHPACT have announced they will release their final album Plague Carriers Of The Crust Apocalypse as part of a new 'Sliding Scale' download series through Canada's Moshpit Tragedy Records. The 12-song release will soon be available on the label's website complete with a printable sleeve for as much or as little as each visitor chooses and is even being offered for free to those without a paypal account. An audio sample and cover art for the release is available at this location.

Hailing from Aberdeen Scotland, Filthpact formed in early 2004 and since then has been incredibly busy touring all over Europe several times before disbanding recently. Their previous effort Total Crust Violence was released by Profane Existence Records in co-operation with seven other labels.

As recently announced, label founders Rayny Forster and Katy Lesperance will give their input on the new direction of their label and that of the recording industry in the upcoming music documentary Behind The Suit and Tie. Other labels contributing to the film include Earache, Relapse, Century Media, The End, Crash Music, Music Choice, Demolition and Heavy Artillery Records as well as Ex-MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson and OVERKILL guitarist Dave Linsk.
