Come on Spoondogg, you know as well as I do that those notes aren't wrong - they're Jazz

Come on dude, 25 minutes in Kef is all anyone on a local band night is ever going to get - especially when they try and cram too many bands into one evening.

Just think yourself lucky, Hot Mangu only got 15 minutes (4 songs) cos the whole night was running so late - again this is purely because there is no need to put 5 bands on in one 3 and a half hour night.

What's everyone else's thoughts on this? I'd definitely rather go and see 3 (4 a the most) bands play a relaxed gig in which they aren't playing against the clock. It definitely affects the quality of the sound as well - for me, the gig last night sounded pretty bad. From what I can gather this was because of technical problems. If the staff had enough time in between the bands to be able to do something about this then I'm confident it would've sounded great - as other gigs in Kef have been recently. As a venue it used to be pretty well known for its shoddy sound but of late most of the gigs I've been to there have sounded excellent.

    Now THAT would kick ass...

    Kick ass??

  6. If you are planning on coming along to se Blaze at moshulu on April 19th then can you please let us know asap so we can get tickets to eveyone who wants one.

Tickets are 7.50 (bastarding cheap compared to prices on the rest of the tour) and we have them NOW!!!

The more we sell the better - we need to make sure that venues in town know that there is still a demand for this kind of music.

    Thanks!

 You need to get out more. Just because you don't like them doesn't completely invalidate everything they did musically. I'm certainly not Wishbone Ash's biggest fan but that doesn't mean I have the "la la la - I don't like it so it didn't happen" attitude that you seem to have.

    Erskine, you're a bellend!"

  I'd forgotten about that... what a bellend!!

  9. I reckon that Megadeth beat Slayer every time, unless you're listening to "Risk", lets forget that ever happened :O Such ace, catchy tunes and blinding musicianship.

I know they may not be "heavy" enough for some people but I reckon thats a huge part of the appeal - they don't need to bludgeon(sp?) you with relentless chuggery and double kick all the time, they write really dynamic songs that hold your attention and make them really accessible. Oh sorry.. I forgot - accessible = nae cool

PS Al Pitrelli is ace - anyone that can play as fast as he can with such a retarded picking technique (almost as retarded as Dan's ;) ) is alright in my book.

  10. Our page on this website is now up and running - it won't tell you anything you don't already know but please drop by and check it out.

Also, if your someone who hasn't heard us before and you're interested then there is a streaming mp3 version of "The Last Day" - it sounds... well, like a streaming mp3 ;) but the quality is pretty much perfect if you take a moment to download it.

The page is here : Black Atom @ garageband.com

    Cheers!
