soundian
Ah' date=' I remember now. How the hell did they manage before electro acoustics! Audiences must have listened/been quiet![/quote'] The Beatles state of the art PA system was a 400W H+H. You tell me? p.s. The engineer did refer to it as "That bloody sitar", which I think proves my point.
GraemeC
The Beatles state of the art PA system was a 400W H+H. You tell me?Wow that takes me back....In the early days with Pallas they gigged the N/east with a 200w pa, Hi-watt valve amps, a pair of Wem 4x12 columns and a pair of marshall 4x10's and no monitors, some of the gigs they played like the Dalrimple hall and Macduff were fuckin huge and I would be hauling 10k in their these days....yet back then they were regarded as a "loud" band (they still are) They also played the beach links with that pa....the slightest breeze and you couldnt hear them.....oh what fun. Guest lime ruined my life
Personally I'd avoid it if possible. No point sounding great if no one can hear how great it sounds.Check your memory banks. That wasn't me.what about a combination of a fancy clip on mic and a peizo with pre amp and eq?
