onearmedscissor
We are a newly formed band(2months) in our early 20's and we really need a vocalist and second guitarist to complete the line up as soon as possible. We currently consist of a drummer , guitarist and bassist and have recently returned from recording a track in Glasgow and are looking to push on and get back into the studio with a full line up in the next couple of months. We need hard working, committed members who are good at what they do but more importantly are enthusiastic and committed both time wise and financially to practicing 2-3 times a week and to be recording in the coming months. We have at the moment five tracks with pretty solid parts and we need someone to come in and add to the current set up by writing their own parts and contributing to the song writing process. There is second guitar parts and vocal melodies to some of the tracks but these are by no mean set in stone and we would be far happier with someone coming in and adding their own creativity to the mix. After recording these we want then want to begin gigging and writing as a band for a second EP.We will hopefully have the full track(minus vocals) returned to us mixed and mastered shortly so we can let you listen to that for an idea of our sound, and we also have rough demos that we can send and let you listen to. Influences cover a huge range of different genres but some main influences include Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, early Foo's, QOTSA , Pixies , Pearl Jam , Radiohead , At The Drive In , Fugazi , Biffy Clyro , Weezer , Reuben , Interpol Jeff Buckley and early Muse to name a few.Guitarist - Attitude and enthusiasm is more important than ability but you will need to be able to write and play solid parts consistently and be able to learn quite quick. We are not looking for a shredder or someone to just play lead parts but rather a mix of lead and rhythm together to create quite a unique layered sounds, who has their distinct style who can adapt to fill the void in the songs as during practice they are just screaming for a second guitarist to add their part. It would be great if you have some experience of being in a band and recording. Vocalist - Although we are not totally opposed to the idea of a guitarist/vocalist we would enjoy the vocalist to just be wholly concentrated on their vocals and to be able to create catchy hooks and melodies that can really add to the song and complete them. Ideally someone who has been in bands before and has experience writing vocals and recording/performing live. We are looking for someone who is confident and have a unique style that can be recognised as being different and are comfortable being the front person in the band. If you are interested then we can get some tracks sent to you and arrange to meet up for a practice. Please get back on touch via this ad and we can take it from there.
