Heard they upgraded them a lot on version 3, something to do with struggling to get a decent volume in the older versions, all the volumes in the first two notches or something? Steviepearce Posted January 14, 2014 Report Share Posted January 14, 2014 Mexican yes. My usa model has no issues at all with volumes. I play it at home in a flat at a low volume. Proper tapered pots. For me the only upgrade on the v3 that makes a difference is having a vintage 30 but that's cos people used to upgrade the stock speaker. Obly issue there is it takes away too much fender sparkle for me as the vintage is more mid and bass. If you want a fender sound have a fender, if you want the vintage 30 clean go for a vox.
