LiamC Posted October 18, 2011 Report Share Posted October 18, 2011 Hey guys,i was browsing ebay and came across a telecaster that looked pretty nice.but looking at the neck i found it weird there was no mention of telecaster on it.so it left me thinking its fake. but even still it looks a nice guitar and the serial number came up as genuine.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280753995205?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648could anyone backup my opinion of it being fake or not, it seems a good fake at that but im still a bit unsure about purchasing it. Can't remember seeing that "original" decal though.And it's a 90s serial number but the plastic is still on the pickguard?Looks like a beauty, but if it looks too good to be true... Bigsby Posted October 18, 2011 Report Share Posted October 18, 2011 If you look at his feedback he recently sold a partscaster, with an identical neck plate.Enough alarm bells for me personally to walk away, but for £180 it still looks not too bad.
