They formed over a decade ago after English guitarist Martin Cradick travelled to Cameroon to live and play with the Baka after being amazed by their music on a TV documentary and found common ground between their sounds and his own Irish music background. The rhythm and energy of the different cultures combine to create a powerful and spirited live show, creating a feast for the eyes and heart as well as the ears and feet. Rooted in African rhythm and Celtic melody, using instruments native to both genres, Baka Beyond play an energetic music all of their own.
