We're really excited about our May helping of Ivy presents Viva! as we are bringing 2 legends to Aberdeen for their Ivy debuts.

Headlining the main Tunnel we have Paul Glazby a name that has become ingrained within the hard house circuit. Hes been instrumental in its development, through his productions and his sheer untouchable talent. The founder of the Vicious Circle label that has dished out some of the biggest and most classic tracks that have filled dance floors across the land for over 6 years, no small.

His production skills have never been less than phenomenal, from the word go with his initial release Dreams, which was licensed to Sony/Virgin records and reached the top 30 in official UK sales, he has consistently added to the hard dance bible. Some of the most memorable include Beautiful, Hostile and a track which has been synonymous with the closing set of the Tidy Weekenders, Kick It.

Theres a long list of legendary sets that Paul has performed that are ingrained in the minds of us all. Closing sets at Insomniacz, as we mentioned before the Tidy Weekender but he has also headlined at the biggest nights across the UK including Frantic, Sundissential, Polysexual, Goodgreef and Storm. Not forgetting the festival circuit! Paul has been part of the hugely successful Global Gathering, Creamfields, Gatecrasher Summer Sound System and of course the world-renowned Dance Valley.

So to conclude, his albums such as I Love VC, Hard Dance Republic and TW9 Live have sold thousands, 10 consecutive releases on VC within his Ten Commandments each one becoming the bench mark for other producers standards. Releases on Tidy, Nukleuz, Tripoli Trax and his world wide tours through-out his career can mean nothing else but that Paul Glazby remains one of the leaders within our industry today.

Supporting Paul in the main room we are proud to introduce The Finishers - Could these Guys become the next hard dance dream team. Consisting of DJ Skelp and Lady ASBO we feel their hard, bouncy and fun beats will be the perfect compliment to Mr Glazby

Headlining the second Tunnel we have a special Old School set from the Legend that is Bass Generator for those of you that don't know Bass Generator is a dj based in Newcastle (UK), famed for being at the forefront of the 1990's Scottish hardcore scene.

Bass Generator began dj-ing in 1987 and produced his first record in 1989 launching the label "Bass Generator Records". He became resident dj for Rezerection, based in Newcastle, in 1991 then stormed into Scotland in 1992.

Bass Generator has secured bookings at all the of top hardcore events in Scotland from small clubs to the massive outdoor allnighters. He launched the "Judgement Day" events in 1993 and released "The Event".

Adding the help of Scott Brown's early releases: (Lord of Hardcore/Genetik), Bass Generator Records went on to release over 40 singles up to 1997. Selling over 1 million mix tapes, Dj'ing at over 1500 events and setting an un-official world record of dj'ing at 7 events in 1 night, Bass Generator was the #1 dj in the Scottish hardcore scene.

After a 10 year absence from production Bass Generator Records plan a re-launch in 2007.........

Check out his Bebo and Myspace profiles

Supporting Bass Generator we are getting a special Old School set from Ivy resident Cheynie. Cheynie's hardcore credentials go back to when he first played at the infamous Bishops in Elgin when he just turned 15 which then led to a residency with Fusion at The Commadore in Stonehaven and more gigs at the Bishops warming the crownd for the likes of Hixxy and Brisk, Scott Brown, Ruffneck, m-Zone and even Timo Mass.

Cheynie was promoting his own under 18's nite Total Confusion in Banff, where the like's of Bass Generator, Technotrance, Dave Forbes, Dj FX, Obsession, Lenny D and Marc Smith were guests. so as you can see Cheynies hardcore credentials as second to none and he has been digging through his crates pulling lots of classic tracks for this night.
