acoustically_content Posted March 16, 2004 Report Share Posted March 16, 2004 was anyone at the gig last nite?think its fair to say that it was pretty awesome.keane were really tight and got the crowd going.i was well impressed that travis played some of the material from their first album good feeling and andys solo on top of his amp stack was like something out of spinal tap.Fran was also on top form to answer his critics saying that some of their stuff is depressing but thats what they are good at.i totally agree and those critics need to peace the fuck out!a truly enjoable evening!p.s buy the keane album (out in May), its easy listening and melodically outstanding. I heard bass (that bore no relation to the piano player's left hand, before anybody says), and I'm sure I also heard light guitar and backing vocals.Nothing wrong with it I suppose (I think the Fun Lovin' Criminals do the same), but why not just hire a bassist?
