Terne Chave

Friday 5th August The Lemon Tree

Tickets 7.50 (5 concessions & regulars)

Doors Open: 8.30pm

Show Starts: 9.30pm

From the Czech Republic, Terne Chave have their roots in traditional Gypsy music. They play and sing old Roma songs, learned from their grandparents, and their own songs of love, sadness, joy, poverty, women and children, all sung in the Roma language. The band's sound is built around a core of 3 guitars and 4 vocals, accompanied by violin, bass, drums & percussion and samples. Fusing their gypsy roots with urban grooves, latin, jazz, rock, flamenco, blues and arabian and jewish flavours, Terne Chave are not to be missed.
