  1. Old farts.haha I'm 24 years old married and a Engineer yet I still go to shows and play in my band. People have let this scene down, this site has let this scene down aswell. People here are so out of touch with current bands that their is no drive behind them. Bands realised that most people on here, never went to gigs. Just loved the fight and to voice their opinion, so bands gave up on here.I had a look at feautured bands on here and it's so poor compared to what is actually out their.
  2. What was that Granite City Groupies thing again?
  3. Adam I don't agree that this is the case all over the UK, and even if it is doesn't mean we should accept it here in Aberdeen. I remember the nights of 10EW, Quik, Gilman St, POO, Liber8 all playing packed out shows like King Prawn and so on. I remember going to watch the 44's alot, now I wasn't a massive fan of the style of music, but I was their as it was good music and good fun.
  4. Spot on Milner, we were a music community. Not a bunch of people who atteneded shows, everyone knew everyone. Everyone partied together and it was great, those days were pretty cool. Bands like Liber8, Quik, POO, Sirius, 10 Easy Wishes, X-Certs, Flight 19, Eddison,Contra, Black Atom and so on. Every Friday night you were def going to be at Moshulu, and everyone was just one big party. Now you go into Exodus, Korvoa or Tunnels for a night out and it's all little groups of 3 or 4 and hostility. Jamesy, Ross and Paul were really the only people throwing shows, and they would always be well attended. Now thier are 600 promoters throwing shows everyday to 50 mates.

    New young bands

    Thank you very much Fox
  6. It shouldn't be this way, I used to play with bands from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee and they would all rave about the "scene" in Aberdeen. We have let it die, and get this way!
  7. Hey, I'm always putting on shows, and I have a list of bands that I use. However, I'm looking for bands of the younger generation. If your interested please leave a post here and I will get in contact.
  8. trolling?? No I go to gigs that I am interested in, that even 3 years ago would have been crowds of 150-250 now their is 50-60 people.
  9. All I can say is that playing in bands, and going to shows isn't the same as it was years ago. Thier is no "scene" feeling anymore, very much you and us. I remember days of mixed bill shows and parties after, now it's crap shows not attended and no parties. haha
  10. I left these boards almost 8 years ago, and now I'm back. What happened to all the bands and musicians that were on the go back then, our scene just died. I have kept playing in bands and going to shows, but it was like one night our city was raped of our scene. I remember all the awesome halloween shows and christmas shows, all the parties we would have. Has everyone grown up, and forgot who they are?
