  1. Love nor money: Man alive! Where does one get a good Tailor near Banchory? I need a jacket altered: any suggestions?

  2. Maria and Michelle are watching P&P. Has anyone noticed how out of tune the music is in that programme? I know I'm going to get slain for this comment, but the music's out of tune and it's bugging me.

  3. Marketing truth 1: One satisfied customer may tell one prospective customer. One dissatisfied customer will tell ten.

Marketing truth 2: Disengaged business = disengaged customers.

I went to Sibelius.com to buy a score writing package. They directed me away to buy the product elsewhere.

Having found a seller, the product didn't install properly. Sibelius also disengage from after sales.

I say this to warn anyone thinking buying score writing software.

    Referrals are how services work....

  4. May the fourth be you.

  5. Maybe you can help me decide. I have just read an interesting article of Scottish Independence. It made a lot of sense until it said that one of the main arguments for independence is that the UK is governed by a party voted in by the South East of England. "It's time the Scots were given a choice for Democracy!" We were and opted out. The referendum for Proportional Representation saw people voting to stay with the First Past the Post System, because they didn't know how Proportional Re...

  6. Miliband doesn't seem to know what the Capital of Scotland is, "The United Kingdom is united. Look, people in Glasgow care about people in London. People in London care about people in Cardiff. People in Cardiff care about people in Glasgow. I care about that". Tool.

  7. New Coffee Maker for Christmas and Miles Davis' 'Kind of Blue' on in the Kitchen. Suave.

  8. New Hymn for Church

I have written a new Hymn. I went to an Ecumenical service and the Minister read out something. He wasn't sure whether it was lyrics or a poem, but the words were meaningful. I was inspired to set the text to music. The hymn will be presented to Banchory West Church on the 5th of October, but I need singers. If you would like to sing, please contact me. If you know someone who would, please pass them my details.

    Thanks and God Bless.

  9. New Hymn for the Church! I have composed a new Hymn: it's for Choir and Organ - think traditional setting with lyrics relevant to today. It's being presented on the 5th of October. Would you like to sing it?

It's scored for SATB - mixed guys and girls - and it's purposefully not complicated.

Rehearsals will be directly after Church and it shouldn't take too long to get it together.

Please message me here or email me for more details.

Please share with friends even if you would n...

  10. Ok so, dropped my laptop. I am using its dying breath to ask, "Do you have any suggestions? I am thinking about the ASUS T100 Hybrid. What are your thoughts?" gasp..gasp...slowly fading screen.

  11. Ok, so Sweden are playing Finland in the Hockey and Maria Thornton is not home yet. Got to say I'm a little surprised at that.

  12. Ok! So that will be my skates running faster than I can handle. Time a acclimatise.

  13. Point one: Headline, "England record medals haul at the Commonwealth games". Did England colonise or was it the UK? Was there ever a United Kingdom? Point 2: I looked up England win at common wealth games (just to check my facts) and Google predicted it as "England win common weather" and win had a red line to say that it was a spelling error. Is it 'win' that was spelt incorrectly, or 'England win' that was inconceivable to Google?

  14. Singers! The Hymn is now complete. Rehearsals start next week. Please get in touch with me if you would like to sing it on the 5th of October. If you sent me your email address, I can send you recordings and the score to help you practise during the week.

15. Skype lessons are going well. They are really convenient for my pupils who can't travel for lessons. They maintain one-to-one contact and the file sharing options are a bonus.

  16. So you're abstaining from any votes in Scotland. Nice one.

  17. String Quartet complete! Shipping to Italy. Boom!

  18. Successful meeting! That's me booked for gigs until September.

  19. Thank you Tegan Blyth, Emelie Fyvie, Rick Hayes, Audrey Bowker, Tony Stephen and Michelle Cole for all your help with my last assignment. I received a Merit which is clearly testament to collective essay writing. I'm telling you, it's the way forward.

  20. That's another blinder of a lesson planned. This festive period, we will be learning about harmony. Looking forward to it.

  21. This is the first chance I have had to get to FB. May the fourth been with you.

  22. To all Dog handlers: a pupil of mine was out walking her dogs and saw a farmer taking his dog out to get shot. She rescued the dog and took it home. It's a beautiful Border Collie and it gets on well with my pupil's dogs, but she does not have the space to keep it. It will need some training, but seems socialised and safe. If you have the time and space to take on this dog, please contact me and I will pass your details on.

  23. We're having Dinner this evening and then seeing in the New Year with a family games night. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  24. Well done lads. Germany played almost as well as Ghana.

  25. Well this is fun! I am 4862 words into my book and I haven't even started on the researchy justificationy stuff yet.
