  1. Laid back approach, decent kit, lead vocals if required, gig or two a month, money not an issue, own transport, sandwiches, teeth hair and limbs...good laugh would be a bonus.

You still looking for a band?

My band do original stuff and are on the lookout for a good bass player to commit.

    Let me know.

    Cheers.

    Paul

  2. Had to leave my old band back home to come to university.

Quite a lot of gigging experience..

Previous band was played on Radio 1 twice and were introduced by Tom Robinson on Radio 6.

We supported the likes of Twin Atlantic, General Fiasco and Canterbury.

I use a Fender Jazz bass.

  3. I have a Yamaha DTX kit i have for sale as i am now using my acoustic kit with silencer pads. The kit itself is in good condition as i have never done gigs with it, just used it for practicing in my house. the hi hat pedal is a brand new upgrade and the brain itself has been refurbished.

    Any questions please pm me.

    Thanks

  4. Soulfire are looking for a talented and committed bass player to complete the lineup of their exiting and original band. Soulfire are a dynamic group of musicians in their late 20s / early 30s, writing and performing original material; one guitar, drums and female vocalist. They’re also on the hunt for a Hammond organ, so if you know any1 please do not hesitate to get in touch. Influences are many and varied, but in their blues led northern soul style, you can hear echoes of The Black Crowes, The Black Keys, The Small Faces, PJ Harvey and PP Arnold to name but a few. Soulfire are looking for a “lead” bass player, potentially with pedals etc. to beef up their sound. Souflire have a number of established songs which they have been gigging and myriad ideas in the pipeline. A live recording is available to listen to on request.

Soulfire have been described as “A real firecracker of a contemporary soul band, with all the features of that heavy blues and classic soul sound. High energy and drive, breathtaking arrangements and delivered with all enveloping style, rhythm and furious energy.”
