  1. These are really good guitars, comfy neck and the P90s cover any style of music. I've got a blonde one that I've customised with gold hardware, one of my favourite (and cheapest) guitars. No I'm not selling it

I know mate, It's a beauty. I'd still stick a white pearl scratchplate on it though! Have a fetish for them seemingly...

  2. Hi jgomez

That sound you have there is pretty good mate. Totally usable.

Cheers mate :) I was pretty impressed with it as I had literally only played around with the preamp settings for 30 minutes or so, previously I had just used the ME70 as FX through my amp. I did find though that adding OD/DS to any of the amps other than the Clean setting made the sound pretty digital. The nice thing is though you can create presets using purely the cosm effects, so you can say set the amp model to Lead Stack (I think this is the Marshall emulator, correct me if I'm wrong), then you can save a high gain preset and a low gain preset, seems to work pretty well.

  3. I'm pretty tempted to get one of these.

    Fender Products

I really should pay off my overdraught but hey, it's one damn sexy guitar.

Yeah, I've fancied a Billy Corgan strat for a while myself, almost bought one off ebay a while back, but on speaking with the guy selling it, he was cagey about hi-res pics so I left it.

My advice to you; pay off the overdaft, then buy one on 0% from one of the sites! It's not quite rock 'n roll, but hey it's win-win. ;)

  4. I really need to choose one of these.....can you tell me which you like best ?

HELP !........ I can't decide cuz I like all of them .....opinions please ??

    thanks....

I'd go for option C too, purely because I adore the sound of a P90. Personally not a huge fan of green, but I think finish is a very personal choice, and I actually do think it looks pretty damn cool with the green tortoiseshell pickguard. I actually think it'd look pretty cool if it sported a cover for the ashtray too... Aesthetics wise if it was my choice, I'd make it blueburst and whack a white pearloid pickguard on there.

  5. I've been messing around using my ME70 to record directly to my PC recently also. I've got a pretty untrained ear and I'm a fairly basic level guitarist, but I thought I managed to get it to sound not too bad in the half hour I played around with it the other night, this is a wee test recording I did:

The setup was Guitar > ME 70 > Sound Blaster XtremeMusic Soundcard > Audacity recording software. I didn't think it sounded too "digital", but then again I was only playing around with fairly high gain and od/distortion, so it's maybe a bit harder to tell? If I remember right, the recording was using the Classic amp model, 3/4's gain and I might be wrong, but I think I used the blues OD and some compression on the "solo" setting. Was just pratting around with it really, but I think it sounded alright, but you might think otherwise!

  6. a little pedantic maybe, given the detailed description but isn't the two humbucker model actually the 'deluxe' rather than 'custom'. I have a Japanese version of the Custom with a humbucker in neck position and s/c in bridge.

Nope, the Squier 2 humbucker version is called the Squier Telecaster Custom, the P90 variant is called the Squier Telecaster Custom II. The Fender Mex version is of course called the Deluxe. Confusing I know, but that's the way they chose to name 'em.

  7. No worries mate, is designed for things like laptops, digital cameras and the like. Is called 'all risks cover' and you may need to specify items but most household insurers will be able to do it. If you need any more advice just drop me a PM and I'll do all I can...

This. Before I read your post I was going to post exactly the same, I have Halifax house insurance and it covers up to 2k "personal item" insurance for anything you carry with you (I don't have to specify items). For example, I just lost my wedding ring a month back (FML) and it's not turned up yet, so I'm going to be claiming for a new one on our policy.

  8. Bump, still looking guys. Looking for something as-new with no marks, scratches or dings of any kind, willing to go up to around the 100 mark (depending on the guitar of course) for a good solid top along the lines of a Yamaha FG700MS etc.

  9. Hi guys, looking for something along the lines of a Yamaha F310 for around 50. It'll be a Christmas gift, so it'll need to be in almost perfect nick. If you have something of a better quality with a solid top for a bit more, I'd be interested too.

    Cheers guys

  10. Friend is selling his Nikon lens as in topic - 90 - it's brand new and unused. He's put it up in gumtree too, this is what he has to say about it:

For sale I have a genuine Nikon 50mm AF F/1.8 D Lens I bought this lens to use with my current Nikon but have since realised it is unsuitable for use with my model as I require one with AF-S. It is brand new and comes boxed and also has the full manufacturers warranty. If you are interested please respond to this and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

    Cheers guys.
