  1. James, you have as many pies as you want! The blokes are just envious of your female admirers! Oh and he's mates with Joe Calzaghe so I'd be careful what you say about him! Disappointed, I expected better from a Scottish forum. You've let me down badly! Shame on thee!

And I still haven't seen the acoustic version of TJSS. Get it sorted BBC.

Anyhow - if James is fat what does that make his wee Scottish mate John Niven then? Obese?

  2. It's bollocks!

i have a bunch of old records here, the one thats in right now is ELO.

in the case theres 2 records, all the lyrics and a massive poster...

Now what do you get? an email saying "thanks for buying these electronic songs which you aren't legally allowed to put on disc"

    FUCK YOU TECHNOLOGY!

I'm with you! And Twilight by ELO has just come on my Last FM radio! But I'd prefer to have the actual record in my hand - have Time on CD.

  3. I hope it's not gonna end up being just files on a computer. How awful! No album covers and packaging. HMV are already downsizing their music CD sections so it doesn't bode well for us who prefer a physical single or album. Also the death of the CD single could spell the end of B-sides which is very sad. Hope it doesn't come to that.

  4. I used to be a Manics fan. But I went off them. I obviously wasn't 4 REAL enough.

Been a Manics fan for 10 years now and haven't gone off them at any time but there you go, everyone's different. I love Idlewild as well. In fact all the bands I've liked throughout my life I'm still into really, to greater or lesser degrees. Thankfully I never had a 'crap pop' stage!

An edit function has suddenly appeared now, how did I miss that this morning?

  5. I love Manics fans.

Where would you be without us eh?

    'You Love Us!'

    (I'll get my coat.)

I would like to thank all you Scots that went for being in such great voice and singing along with everything. Cheers for that!

  6. I've heard they earn almost as much as JDB these days. Plenty of free time at home too...

Oh well, I'm sure Mrs B will be happy with that. Especially as he performed at TITP on their wedding anniversary. Brave man! : D Still trying to catch the acoustic version of This Joke Sport Severed on BBC iplayer. Haven't seen that yet!

  7. No edit function? Anyway, how did I guess it would be a bloke making the school yard 'fatty' comments? James Dean Bradfield has a beautiful wife and loads of female fans so I'm sure he's not going to lose too much sleep just because some bloke thinks he's fat. I've fancied him for 10 years now and love him more than ever! Getting back to T In The Park - thought Elbow were very good and want to check out Glasvegas' set as well.

  8. Don't you think Nicky Wire dresses a bit dumb? Maybe if he looked like that from the start of the Manics (or about 10 years ago), it would be more acceptable.

I like the glittery make-up. But I'm usually too busy oggling James to pay much attention to Nicky anyway!

  9. Got a 9/10 from John Earls on Teletexts Planet Sound and a nice review with it too. Nicky interview up today talking about Richey. I think the supermarkets stance is madness and shall be ripping off that sleeve covering the actual picture as soon as I get mine! Can't hear the resemblance between Peeled Apples and Prologue myself!

  10. The Jools performance was great to me! Mr Nutini was a bit rubbish really, Taylor Smith had more going on than him! Digged her spangly tiara! Loved how the Manics just were at total odds with everything else on the show! James and Nicky were on the Colin Murray Show on Radio 1 last night playing some of their vinyl stuff which was fantastic! Had me laughing as well, great stuff! Great choice of records too! James picked one by Husker Du out of what Nicky had brought with him and Nicky 'was told' to play one by The Icicle Test (I think that is the correct band name, apologies if not!). I love these all vinyl shows that they seem to be doing more regularly on Radio 1 now! Superb!

The only down side was that I'd wanted to not hear any more songs from JFPL until the album came out but thanks to Mr Murray I've now heard Marlon J.D. and This Sport Joke Severd (Yes, and I may have that last one's title the wrong way round but it is new, forgive me!).
