  1. Posted an ad for this before with no luck. Its the 2x10 120w combo. Its basically mint condition, less than a year old. I have the FBV express footswitch too which is 80 new has 4 way footswitch + expression pedal. Any offer considered. I've just had an old amp repaired and am buying a fender amp too so this is gonna be nothing but a door stop to me soon.
  2. I actually had a PODxt live pedal. I didn't really get on with it. There is SOOOO much in them. You can change the virtual mic positions and head/cab combos. It was almost like too many choices so you constantly fiddle and change things so never settle on a solid tone. You could do some cool stuff like switch on/off the effects with the foot buttons whilst still on the same preset if you know what i mean... a very good idea i thought
  3. Pretty much every piece of line6 gear gets decent/good reviews from guitarist and guitar world magazines. Thats the PODS, the amps and that stomp box emulator thing.
  4. I dont think there's anything wrong with my lugs. I think the line 6 takes a bit of getting used to.. there's far too much gain so u only need like 4.5-5 and you need to pull the bass down cos theres loads of that too. I When you do that it doesn't really get fizzy and stays relatively tight. found the tones were in there but just not where you'd expect them eq wise. ... As for my marshall and peavey, ive never payed a venue where i could crank either loud enough. The peavey I just never liked from the get go (was a mk2 which i dont think were that well recieved could be wrong tho) The clean particularly was horrible. My point was more about solid state/digital in general... I dont think they should be dismissed when on a budget... One of the best metal tones ive heard at a gig was a guy playin an mg head. He really got the greatest lead tone.
  5. While I dont completely disagree with you and prefer valve amps i think you're being a bit ott. If they were really that bad they wouldldn't get consistently good write ups. Like I said for high gain stuff solid state/digital amps can do the job pretty well (dimebag always did alright). if you want cleans/vintage then i think thats when valve amps come into their own. For high gain my line6 sounds as good as my dsl100 and peavey 5150 ever did.
  6. I actually have a line6 spider III 120 (2x10) that I wanna sell for about 220 with the footpedal. It's obviously not a valve amp, but quite versatile for the price. It does high gain stuff pretty well, but not so great for blues etc.
  7. Hey. I'm a guitarist aged 25 and have been playing for 10 years. I've done the whole rock/metal thing all my life and over the past year have refocused my playing towards blues. This is just a post to see if there are any like minded musicians who want to get together and just jam out some blues... covers, originals whatever. Just a bit of spontaneity. There's no masterplan here.... I just want to improve my playing/writing and improv skills.
  8. Hi there I have a Line6 spider 3 120 (2x10) combo with the FBV Express foot controller for sale. The amp is only 6 months old purchased at bruce millers. The pedal is the mid priced one with the built in expression pedal and tuner and 4 way footswitching. Both amp and pedal are in immaculate condition and have only been used for practicing at home. I was looking for about 250 for the amp and pedal. Any Takers let me know.
  9. hey. im interested.... played guitar for 7 yrs. Mainly hard rock/metal background but been up for doin something more light hearted for a while.... Did a 1 off gig recently doin some paola nutini, kaiser chiefs, zutons type stuff and loved it. let me know.
