  1. I've no idea when I joined, but I joined because I used to stay in Aberdeen and was a regular at the gigs of a fair few local bands. I've moved to Glasgow now, but I do like this forum. I don't post an awful lot, I tend to go through phases with the internet, but I'm jobless right now so I've got far too much time on my hands.

  2. I got up late, felt sick (being up the duff does that to you) saw the other half go off to work, went and paid my rent (late) paid the phone bill (late), noticed the road at the end of ours was closed because of a fire, got back into the flat and had a sleep (that being up the duff thing again) messed about on the internet, went shopping, spent a sodding fortune but finally refilled my cupboards, got a phonecall from a mate, laughed at my ex being a dick, got a phonecall from another mate, laughed about someone else being a dick, had a row with the other half because I hate him and all of his kind (again, being up the duff does that to you) and now I'm sat here, messing about on the internet again. It's been a good day.

  3. the things i miss most are Zapp ice lollies and a sweet that i think was called Mars Secrets (dont hold me to that).it was like a chocolate nest on the outside wih a soft noughat on the inside.no one seems to know what im on about when i describe it.maybe they never existed and its all in my mind...

Secrets were made by Cadbury's. You're not going mad, I miss them too.

    Clue: Welsh town.

Karen Matthews has been arrested and is in Police custody pending questioning. Nothing to do with her missing daughter, they just want to find out how the fuck she managed to talk five guys into riding her.

By any chance, do you read a certain popular Scottish football forum?

  5. Well done to QoS today, not a result I'd have predicted, but good on them. Despite having a soft spot for Aberdeen, I love to see the underdog. Now, if there were to be a Div 1 final, I'd be a happy girl. I'd be even happier if QoS beat the Jags!

  6. Nah, it's shit. Also, why does every girl in the world find Noel Fielding funny? He's like that moronic dickhead that you hated in class who made fuckwit comments and EVERYONE laughed...despite the fact that they were never funny, and you just wanted to punch them in the face.

Not EVERY girl. I can't stand him. He's unfunny and not at all attractive, if you ask me, which I know you weren't, but I'm answering anyway. He and Russel Brand on that Quiz Of The Year thing made me want to throw things at my telly.

  7. Wasn't napolean average height for his time in france?
As far as I recall, yes, British propaganda made him short.

It wasn't me gave it the name!

The long and short (ha!) of it is, from all the short men I've had any kind of dealing with, they've all been arseholes. I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule, I've just yet to meet them.

  8. so does that mean people with considerable weight have more right to throw it about? is this a law or something?

if it trully existed, that is.

    Napoleon complex is 'a myth' | Metro.co.uk

No, I'm not saying that anyone has the right to throw their weight around, considerable or not. My experience of short men is limited, but they do act like they have something to prove, when in reality, they just happen to be of a slightly shorter stature than the person they're talking to.

I'm a short-arse myself, but you don't see me trying to make up for it.

  9. yes!!!! with you on that one!

They're only hanging on for one last pay day from the Celtic game. Not that that bothers me at all, I hate the Old Firm, but if they can't play Aberdeen because the players won't play without pay and insurance, why would they be in any better position for the Celtic tie? Particularly when someone breaks in and steals their food and kits...

Edit: I should have thought what I was saying. Obviously they'll be better off for the Celtic game with the money they'll make, but from what I gather, it's going to be a drop in the ocean for them now.

  10. Clyde (5/4) this weekend are a shout. Away to Stirling and on the verge of Signing Big Jorg Albertz till the end of the season lol. JOhn Brown pulling some "buddy" strings

As the partner of a Clyde fan, I can only say that I'll believe it when I see it! They've been dire all season, the team look like they barely even care on the field.

I'm a Dumbarton fan, though, so I should probably just shut up.

  11. Level 30 - what the fuck???

Struggling to figure out how you get onto it? If you've got a list of winners, that's not level 30, although, there is something there that will tell you how you get to level 30.

You definitely have to read the weffriddles forums for this game, and particularly when trying to figure out how you get onto the next batch. Of course, if you've already worked that bit out, the next step is this:

You've seen these before. What you have to figure out is not where you've been but how you got there.

  12. I HATE when games to to penalties, as I miss them all. You can't see much when you've a pillow over your head. Chimbonda did well to stick his head in his shirt, but Jenas' attempt didn't appear to have much behind it either. Not a happy girl this morning. :swearing:

  13. What a superb site. I grew up very close to this and my school was actually right next to it, so it was always fun if you were skiving lessons to go and hang around up there, and we even once went there on a school trip when I was in Primary. I love visiting old places like this and having a nose around. I thought I was the only one!

  14. Just looking to see if anyone has information on prices for Cannons and JJB? As they don't have price lists on their site, and I don't have the patience at the moment to sit through their "positive selling" techniques, just to find out a price.

I'm looking for off peak times i.e before 4.30pm, as I can get in before then since I finish work at 3.35pm each day.

I'm also an Aberdeen City Council employee so think that gets you a discount?

    Any information is greatfully received.

I've worked for both City and Shire councils, and I'm fairly sure that if you look on the Intranet sites (is it still The Zone for the City Council?) it will tell you if you can get a discount and where. I know there is definitely a discount at City Council operated gyms, so they may well not offer one for private gyms, but the one down at the beach isn't too bad, if cheapness is what you're looking for, but it was fairly busy when I went after work.

  15. Just started on Bravo last week, Wednesdays at 10pm, second episode was on last night, and repeated on Tuesday nights.

Not normally my sort of thing, I'm not one for these hour long, American dramas like Oz, Lost, CSI etc., but the other half wanted to watch it. It's actually very, very good. Donnie Wahlberg kind of revisiting his role in Saw as an officer desperate to save lives and put the bad people away, except this one doesn't resort to planting evidence to get there, and in this instance, he's a negotiator rather than a detective, but I think he's finally managed to put New Kids On The Block to rest.

John Leguizamo proves he's more than just Luigi or the sloth from Ice Age, and puts in a great performance, also.
