I see she's playing the Lemon Tree in October, gonna go then. Missed her when she played in London but I think she's amazing.

I really like Kula Shaker, think I was around 14/15 too when they came out. Not heard anything from the new album yet though.

If anyone is trying to get rid of a few, please give me a shout!

Have you got a link to the article, I'd like to read it.

Nae luck, that's all that can be said!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh, that's on another forum I use, I HATE IT, I HATE IT SO MUCH!

Anyone going to see it and what are the thoughts on Daniel Craig?

Was silent at 11am, in practice for today's remembrance parade and service at King's. Would have observed it anyway even if I hadn't been at the rehearsal.
It gets my goat when people try and say poppy day is no longer relavent because WW1 happened 90 years ago, we're not just remembering the dead of the World Wars, but every serviceman who has fallen since, whether it was in the Falklands through to those still dying in Afghanistan and Iraq.
PS. If anyone wants a laugh, the Uni's tri-service parade will be marching through Kings sometime after 10 this morning... with yours truly in the Naval detachment...
Totally agree, I think it's more relevant now than ever with all the recent conflict. I did a lot of work on both WWI and WWII in school so I always donate to the poppy appeal and observe the minutes silence.

Didn't take me long to read the whole thing.
Why not just get a petition up with as many signatures as possible and present it to the local MP as a start, as was suggested on another thread. It's a good way to start up some recognition. Thankfully the government does seem to be making more of an effort to tackle environmental problems.

Likewise with Damien Rice.

Anyone else a big Jools Holland fan? Last week was really good with Amy Winehouse. Looking forward to seeing Damien Rice on tonights show.

Yeah say we all nominate one book and we choose the 20 most popular or something, maybe a smaller number.

I love this sort of stuff.
What's the animal being eaten there?
I was wondering that too. Anyone know?

I saw him do an episode which basically consisted of him ripping the piss out of Vanessa Feltz. Not the hardest of targets. Bill Bailey seems to be doing next to nothing on this series n all.
And Amstell's got a weird smirk-smile thing going on.
Yeah I saw that one, I thought she was gonna get up and lamp him. Last nights one wasn't too bad but I way preferred Mark Lamarr.

Could do both if everyone's interested. I have loads of books that I could swap.

Ok neighbour, I'll definately come along to this one and as usual I'll try to bring people!

Diary of a Married Call Girl, Tracy Quan - nice easy read.
Lend Me Your Ears, Boris Johnson -good.
The Kite Runner, Khaled Hosseini - emotional.

I'm really looking forward to trying that. Didn't it used to have a record shop?

When's she's not completely drugged off her face she has a fantastic voice. She's certainly shown Christina Aguilera a thing or two about how to make a proper motown inspired record.
and she's got big hair.
I really like Amy Winehouse's new music, just watched her on Jools Holland. Christina wasn't trying to make a motown record, her album has a general jazz sound to some of the songs but others are completely different. Christina has an amazing voice, far superior to most of her contemporaries.
-
I'll definately take a look at that.

Nonsense. This Labour government has been the most radical and successful centre-left government ever in this country. Even a cursory look at the records and achievements of the current administration to the previous one shows that they're nothing like the Tories.
As for Johnson, the Tories keep him around because he's a well-known character who gives a human face to a party that is still viewed with suspicion by the majority of the electorate. He's the true voice of the Tory conscience. To cut him free would rob the party of one of their most valuable electoral assets.
A certain quantity of that is true especially about the Labour government.
Regarding Boris though, people should find out what he said not what tabloid papers report him to supposedly have said.

I would agree. I think Kate accidentally killed her and Gerry has been helping her cover it up.
All the media hype has been a total disgrace. If it had been one of her twins who had died a cot death etc while they had been out she would have been lynched by now.
