    Hola folks!

    Got a great group of people together and have 5 original tunes on the way.............but..........we need some more people!

    Looking for a synth player and bass player.

    If possible someone that is willing to swap about with me between the bass, synth and guitar...............big ask I know but we are going for a Yeah Yeah Yeahs kinda vibe, modern electro punk/pop stuff.

    Obviously if you specialize in either the bass or synth that would be coolio!

    Drop me a line for a chat etc.

    Got regular rehearsals scheduled and all very keen on the sound we are getting. Think there wont be that many bands in Aberdeen doing this kinda thing.

    Experienced guitarist and bass player looking for guitarists, drummer, singer, keyboard player, for guitar band.

    Recently split band members wanting to get straight back into it.

    Open to all styles and wanting to gig ASAP.

    Looking for committed rehearsal 3 hours per week in evenings or weekends.

    Influences include:

    Pixies, sonic youth, guns n roses, and many many more

    Pish!

    15 pages!

    Nice one Bill.

    As I remember it I went for a slash and then our drummer went for a slash hence the time keeping...........

    Don't think there would have been a problem if we were told to play for 30 minutes beforehand.

    Probably would have insisted on going on earlier so we could get to our beds as we are old farts these days!

    Always had good experience with other bands and FOH sound in the Tunnels, no premadonnas yet!

    Shame most of the bands are better than us!

    Have come across the bands that think they are great and own the place take ages to set up etc. but these are the ones that generally aren't very good........

    As with others had bad experiences with lending kit so only in an emergency.

    Hi All,

    Thanks for checking out this post.

    TRS are looking for female vocals to fill out our sound. Check out

    Currently there is only 2 of us but have no limit to the flow of ideas. The tunes on the page have taken ~3weeks to put together which is pretty quick.

    We have so many ideas that we will be able to write and record tunes for a long time to come.

    Inspiration comes form many directions but currently a bit of Portishead, Goldfrapp, Chemicals Brothers, DJ Shadow etc.

    Vocals would be entirely up to yourself and we can write tunes to suit vocla styles, words and help our with backing vocals etc. also.

    Unfortunatley we have been let down by a few people in the past :down: just not turning up so please respond for more info if you are sure you can commit to approx 1 night a week for rehearsal at Captain Toms, Musical Vision.

    We also both have home studios with lots of pro gear so nothing but a voice is required........

    Experience is not necessary, we have both giged for years as long as your are happy with the the tunes thats ace.

    We want to gig in the future (ASAP) and have had to turn down a couple because of the missing vocals.

    We are both professionals (non-music) over 30 but age is not as important as commitment.

    All replies will get a quick response, if you have examples of your vocals that would be great but not essential.

    Still looking for the next Frank Black.

    Making leaps on the recording front so next step is gigin around Aberdeen.

    Anyone welcome to have have a go, we have no expectations or preferences the more variety the better and whats meant to be will be.

    I've just started a band with 3 other people. We have 2 guitars, bass (me) and drums with loads of kit, drums machines, synths etc.

    Check out MySpace.com - Zed Machine - UK - Electronica - www.myspace.com/thezedmachine for a couple of rehearsal tunes with some work on them in cubase.

    and MySpace.com - Electrolite - Aberdeen, UK - Electronica / Ambient / Breakbeat - www.myspace.com/soundefex for my own stuff.

    Looking for like minded musicians mainly for vocals, keyboards, guitar synth stuff or anyone interested in pushing buttons.

    Wouldn't mind interchanging bass and button pushing with others.

    Don't think we will give up the day jobs but we are all interested in gigging around Aberdeen and getting some myspace exposure and perhaps doing some studio stuff although we all have home studios etc.

    We rehearse at Musical Vision every Thursday 7-9, trying to keep this regular slot.

    Get in touch if you are up for it. The main idea of Zed Machine is a collective with no limit to the number of people and hence ideas and direction.

    Ive been writing and recording stuff with cubase for about 10 years now open to all styles.
