  1. True but the tiny nature of the Kia puts it in the lowest band for insurance and the lowest band for road tax. Plus it gives great mpg.

Good points, but if you are after value for money why would you even consider buying a car new ? For this type of car you are going to lose half the value of it just by driving it out the showrooom.

I still recommend you look for a second-hand car. There are obviously other cars out there that fulfil your requirements - for example, the C3 mentioned earlier. I've driven one of them and while it's not the car for me it is perfectly adequate.

Dont buy new (or Italian )

  2. Jericho - Great series. I've watched the first 4 episodes of season 2 and it's superb.

The Wire - I think the Wire is now on season 5. It's a lot slower moving than a lot of programmes but I still really like it. It gets much more into depth of character and the real dodgy side of life on the 'corners'.

  3. I watched this last night on 'dvd' and loved it.

It's the best film I've watched in ages although I thought it really tailed off in the last quarter of an hour. Consistent, I suppose, with the earlier comments about the last couple of chapters in the book.

  4. It might be a touch far, but the nine hole course at Auchenblae is alright.

Not as good as it was when you had to shoot over the quarry on 7, mind you.

    lol - very true.

Not the sort of course I would take foreign guests to though !

If you were in that neighbourhood you'd be much better off at Edzell.

  5. classic.

    of course.

all motorbike drivers are saints, car drivers are useless....

    You said that no-one else

...reaction times etc are not only the responsibility of the person speeding! (I think that was my original point, but I got told to shut up and hug a tree...).

No. Your original point was that some drivers would get a shock by being overtaken and crash.

That was just a bizarre statement and then it seemed to justify you calling me a cunt !

Did I say anywhere that there were any other cars anywhere near me at the time. Again - you jumped to conclusions.

In my honest experience the bikers I have been out with stick to the 30s and 40s more than car drivers. We tend to build up cars behind us in these areas before the national speed limit signs.

Filtering is completely legal. I ws encouraged to do it by the police on an observed ride.

You are just pissed off they are making progress when you are stuck in traffic.

    Grow up.

  6. ....got a motorbike then....I take it.

another of my faves are "motorbike lanes" aka "cheverons...

please, don't wrap yourself in cotton wool, and wrap yourself round a tree.

Wow you must be really clever to work out I had a bike ...could it be because I said that in my first post.

    You're a petty, vicious prick.

  7. If he just had a 'hairdryer' gun and it wasn't a camera car then you got away with it.

If it was a camera car then you'll need to sweat it out for 14 days.

I allegedly got caught doing 120 by a front facing camera car but got away with it as I was on my bike (no front plates )

  8. Catherine Tate ?!

    :swearing:

This is disastrous news. I can't stand her and I really don't know if I'll be able to watch the next series if she's going to be in it.

    Sally Sparrow....
