  1. as stock i didnt like it the volume is all to fuck on and i couldnt get a sound i liked, it felt pretty lifeless but there's alot that can be changed on them i took mine to dennis marshall to be modded and now its a beast....... but i think jerry jablonski was using one not so long ago and his sounded ace but then again so is his playing.. personally id hold out for one of the blackstar ht series amps!

  2. I just bought a Loopmaster switching unit, its basic but perfect for my needs.

You get a choice of sizes, inputs, tuner out, master switch etc and you can even choose your LED colours.

Really well priced. Only negative thing is there's a few weeks wait as each unit is handmade to the buyers specs.

    cheers il check em out.

  3. I feel pretty competent in knowing my shit. I happen to have an expensive "rig" too as it transpires. Guess I'm a professional. Bonus. :princess:

Also, just out of curiousity, when did this happen? :)

about 3 years ago maybe...... why are you gonna convince me that things have changed ?

  4. If it IS a 2204, its 50w, vertical input type :)

sorry i should have put this up on the original message here goes

marshall jcm 800 2204 lead series mk II (1982 i think) 50watt head, vertical input (high and low sensitivity) 4 8 16 ohms, 2 outputs, 120 220 240 volts, presence, bass mid, treb, master volume and pre amp volume = killer tone

  5. marshall jcm 800 2204 head, serviced and revalved by dennis marshall last year, he also added an fx loop, pentode/triode switch, and took out the annoying fizzy top end resulting in a kick ass amp 600 quid

  6. im sure les at bruce millers is competent but in short i wouldnt give any of my gear to R&B or Brucies, when i first started out i gave an axe to R&B to set up

    1. they did a shit job

    2. they didnt do it when they said they would, when i went to collect it after 10 days it hadnt been touched, the bell end that worked there said to come back in an hour and he did it but but fuck em there crap

brucies didnt do much better so i asked people in the know and read up on things and taught myself to do most jobs that these shops rip you off for doing

(enough ranting) speak to dennis and brucies and see if you can determine a possible cause over the phone before commiting to either and talk costs, yeah Dennis is a long way off but heaps of people recomend him for a simple reason,

we spend alot of money on our gear and want it looked after and fixed timely and professionally when we give it to these people and thats exactly what he does
