  1. Ive got to say, the ginger heeded, podgy guy in the kilt at the crossroads on Union Terrace playing the pipes is the worst piper Ive ever heard. There should be a law prohibitting such noise. However that said, I take my Glengarry off to him, he's got nerve, oot in all weathers and gets away with it.

Aberdeen Cooncil should set up a scheme like the London underground where licences are given out to decent performers. Ok perhaps not Aberdeen cooncil as they dinnae have a good track record of their own performance

  2. Im co organising the above event....

Im looking initially for as many street performers as possible to take part. The idea is that its going to be a celebration and recognition of the efforts of the forgotten heroes working in the voluntary/ charitable and third sector starting off with a significant street parade/ carnival all ages/ all groups down from Harlaw Academy, Union Street to the Castlegate and the hope is there will be open space venues with entertainment for all and free.

If anyone is interested, know of good street performers, dancers, jugglers, pipers, magicians get in touch

more info can be found at Celebrate Aberdeen - A City That Cares

also considering putting on some gigs across various venues that night too

get in touch if interested or know someone that might be

  8. As you are aware Aberdeen City Council have announced some very grave cuts to services in the City which will effect some of our most vulnerable people, who could be your friends, families, neighbours and fellow citizens.

The Cyrenians are organising a vigil/protest starting 2pm Thursday 27th of March until the 5th of April outside St Nicholas House. Many of you have supported the Cyrenians in the past with events and this support is being seriously undermined by the Council by the proposed cuts, they really need your support NOW. The vigil will be continuous day and night. They are being cut by 880 000!

You are all welcome to come by and show your support, bring your instruments and make some noise, looking to have a few musicians there on Saturday afternoon

If you cant come please can you sign this petition Do not withdraw funding for the homeless - Online Petition and email it to as many people as you can.

If you are interested in coming along and want more details gies a shout on 07747 024203

    Cheers

  10. aye its good, takes a little time to get used to the navigation though

like nastyspace visit other bands/artists you like and click on fans, also good to feedback / comment about particular songs etc cyber banter etc

once you have uploaded songs, you should get yourself into the chat frames that go along with the radio streams advertised on the home page, artists who are in the chat room will more often than not get a song played live. the room is a great laugh and a fair bit of networking goes on, weve had some gigs out of it as well as feedback about our tunes

you will also always find one of the administrators in the room during shows who are always happy to give advice, also just contact them through the site they are quick to get back to you

you will generally find that your plays will increase over time

  11. Hi guys

Take a look at Nessmp3.com: home a great site to find mainly unsigned artists, bands, events etc. also a great site to network and promote your band, music, venue etc. Based up in inverness you get a real personal touch and its gone global much better than my space.

Also look under 'site hubs' , you can see weegieland has got one and Im looking to get enough interest to set up an aberdeen one.

If any one asks tell them The Rev sent you

    Cheers

  12. For gods sake dinnae tell the wife, but Im in the process of converting my garage into a wee boys room, ie wee home studio

  13. This is indeed a rarity. A touch of class well above the recent reintroduction of the x160 aimed at rockabilly musicians.

This is number 61 of 129 made and as such is reasonably rare. It has an awsome sound and is also unique in that it is a Savoy model but has a manhattan scratch plate fitted. Comes with hard case and birth certificate.

This is not the x160 Rockabilly model hence I am lookin for a reasonable offer over 1000, wont let it go for anything else

You can a have a lookie by going into the pics section on my myspace
