the award winning american cult film 'american astronout' will be shown at drummonds on friday!!The band the Billy Nayer show will be playing afterwards too...this is the band that provided the art rock soundtrack to the film.A must see for any film or music enthusiast!

viva melodica,wildcards,aka the fox, cafe drummond, 19/11/2005

This should be an gig worth going to.AKA the Fox return from glasgow for one night only with their fantastic dance punky type music which (i think was a stroke of genuis) features a saxophone too.Viva Melodica are really good for anyone who's missed their previous performances.I think theyve been playing in glasgow more and more these days so it'l be good to hear them again.

is this over 18's only????? ta

Im not a fan of NME, for the fact that they bring some really good bands into the limelight which brings little teenyboppers liking them for the sake of it! i am probobly the sort of person you are refering to here when you say 'little teeny bopper'. but though we are young we can make informed decisions in what music we like.we dont all copy what our friends like and slowly but surley we are learning to develop our own musical tastes.for example most of my friends like the arctic monkeys but i dont.no copying there...and i read nme and they tell me i should like it.hmm its very odd...some of us even know quite a bit about music..even more so than some adults.im sorry about this sarcastic reply but it does get quite tiresome when you here over and over that all teens are bandwagon jumpers and confused emos.

yep itl b more of a dancey gig but shitdisco look set to become quite big...they were mentioned in nme and they thot they were ace too.

On the 19th of november Shit Disco (new single 'disco blood' just been remixed by Clor, sounds ace), AKA the Fox a punky five peice you can dance to (and they have a saxophone!!) and Viva-Melodica, one of scotlands most promising bands (creaters of the beautiful accoustic lp 'I'm Not Walking') will be playin at cafe drummond!!!It'l be 4 or there about which is a bargin because the above bands are more than decent.Shit disco have played at club clor too which is kind of awsome.And aka the fox played at T in the park and they rocked. And Viva-Melodica are sounding better than ever with their beautiful tunes...definitly some brilliant new talent there...

i think theyr really good....ye 'for screening purposes only' comes out 31/10/05!!!far too late why cnat they put it out now then i wouldnt have to keep going onto their website and listen to it that way.

ace if i had a ticket!meh.i thot the mascara story people wernt reli emo try hards tho so it was ok.they didnt look emo.they sounded slightly emo,which i can deal with.but if they want to be emo then why not,let 'em.

nah rage will be good.they were awsome last time but they were on late cuz they got stuck in a traffic jam so this time its an early show for all the young uns who couldnt get into the last one.

yep!!!rueben kicked ass!!the floor was the bouncyest iv ever felt it!!the mascara story were pretty cool too....and the place was dominated with smaller people than usual so i didnt get squished so much either.

I hope you have a ticket - word on the street is it's almost sold out.

meh i got a tiket late yesterday from 1up but i guess a lot of tikets might have been sold 2day

and another bit of freekishly sensible advice:

dont be fooled by flavoured water!!volvic, for example contains 11 teaspoons of sugar and the others arnt much better. normal water and fruit juice is the best although i think it just depends on what your used to.

yup im going...i havnt heard much of their stuf as i dont hav any of their albums but iv heard good things.what i have heard of their new album is reli gud...meh shud be a gud night anyway....the only thing is im rather small and u seem to get stood on and crushed and injured by people who dont notice im standing there.so for anyone who is going tonight try to be more careful!

There was a similiar drunk guy incident at one of the Neil Leyton shows at Drummonds - the guy didn't have dreads did he?

has anyone heard focus before?apparently theyr really good..instrumental i think but theyr rumoured to be damn good...its an early show,finishes at 11ish and its 3 which is a bargin if theyr as good as people say....

rage,the rage against the machine tribute are playin again at drummonds on the 16th october,especially for over14s since last time the band got caught in a traffic jam and ended up playin late and liscencing laws mean they couldnt get in...but they were decent last time!!

cafe drummond is good because it has character ,a good athmosphere and good music.kef is alright but claustrophobic....moshulu has the often got the best bands but no athmosphere and im quite small so i always get stood on...nope cafe drummond is definitly my fav.
