    Hi Jayne, I play guitar and sing. I'm not in a band although I've had lots of gigging experience in the past. I'm into many styles.     Hi djb303, I'm an "older guy" guitarist/vocalist. My tastes are varied and I've had wide experience gigging with Virtual Floyd, Dave Harris Band and The Miserable Sinners. Rather than rabbit on I'll let the music do the talking. You can hear me by googling sydneydrumtutor Simon Abbott. He used to play with me in Abbd before he emigrated.     Harry, I played guitar and sang with the Dave Harris Band, Miserable Sinners, and a Pink Floyd tribute called Virtual Floyd. I play lead and can sing lead also harmonies. Would prefer to share.     I am also mature, and I feel the need to get back into the band thing again. Someone who can sing lead and play an instrument is what I'm really looking for to form the nucleus of a band. I've played mainly rock/pop/blues and I am a useful harmony singer, and lead as well, but prefer to let someone else take over vocally.     I tried to email info@music-classes.com yesterday, but it came back.

    I am well up on music theory, and I can play guitar to a very high degree of fluency in most styles, and have long experience of playing live. I can read musical notation and guitar tab. My playing experience is mainly in rock, pop, blues, country/rock, and I have a good grounding in classical guitar as well. I played in bands with Simon Abbott who taught drums at Leonards music in Inverurie. While with him I played in Virtual Floyd (Floyd Tribute) and The Dave Harris Band.

    Your musical influences seem like an interesting mix and I'm into much of what's been listed. I'm 55 and have had a lot of band/gig experience, pro gear, harmony vocals. You can hear me if you google in Simon Abbott drum tutor. Simon played drums with me for several years before emigrating. In the music section of his website you can hear me with The Dave Harris Band and Virtual Floyd. As you will hear we paid attention to detail but for me it would be a refreshing change to depart from the script slightly and play about with some original material and varied styles. I also like the idea of doing "choice covers". A blues/country/rock blend sounds very interesting. I'm not in any other band.     I have not worked as a guitar tutor, but its something I have been thinking about since I stopped playing for a living three years ago. I've played lead with The Dave Harris Band, Virtual Floyd, and the Miserable Sinners, and I would say that I can play a vatiety of styles (rock, blues country funk pop) to professional standard. I can read music and tab but because I have been self taught I play mainly by ear. Despite being self taught I have an orthodox technique. I'm 53.
