I am well up on music theory, and I can play guitar to a very high degree of fluency in most styles, and have long experience of playing live. I can read musical notation and guitar tab. My playing experience is mainly in rock, pop, blues, country/rock, and I have a good grounding in classical guitar as well. You can hear me if you google in Simon Abbott drum tutor. Simon played drums with me for several years before emigrating. In the music section of his website you can hear me with The Dave Harris Band and Virtual Floyd. As you will hear we paid attention to detail but for me it would be a refreshing change to depart from the script slightly and play about with some original material and varied styles. I also like the idea of doing "choice covers". A blues/country/rock blend sounds very interesting. I'm not in any other band. I have not worked as a guitar tutor, but its something I have been thinking about since I stopped playing for a living three years ago. I've played lead with The Dave Harris Band, Virtual Floyd, and the Miserable Sinners, and I would say that I can play a vatiety of styles (rock, blues country funk pop) to professional standard. I can read music and tab but because I have been self taught I play mainly by ear. Despite being self taught I have an orthodox technique. I'm 53.
