  1. Vantage Point play The Moorings bar alongside SAZ this Saturday night.

So anyone wanting a night of traditional Heavy Metal then come along for some screaming vocals and shredding guitar solo's!

What others have said about Vantage Point:

Vantage Point play no frills, straight down the line, old school heavy metal, complete with falsetto wailing, thumping basslines and riffs as heavy as concrete boots. Bassist and singer Murray has that classic Biff Byford combination of thunking bass and triumphant metal arm gestures down to a T, whilst the guitarists content themselves with striking axeman poses in the background. In fact never before have I seen quite so much heavy metal posturing squeezed into such a tiny space. www.elainemacintyre.net

"From the chunky riffing of Motor Man, which actually features the words pedal to the metal through the mid-tempo, melodic, Save Me onto the full blown Priest like histrionics of High Plains Drifter, I enjoyed every moment."www.metaluk.co.uk

  2. I think that proved the theory that the fewer people that participate in a gig thread' date=' the busier it will be LOL.

Weren't Steely Glint something else though... WOW![/quote']

Totally, I was completely blown away by Steely Glint, didn't expect that standard of musicianship at all!!!

Was a great ggi, Firebrand were excellent as well, as always. Got their new CD and it rocks.

Hopefully we will be back up playing at the Moorings again sometime soon.

    Cheers.

  3. Edinburgh's Vantage Point return to the Moorings at the end of the month for another set of their Maiden / Priest influenced Metal.

  4. Vantage Point were fuckin awesome. Please have them back again. I particularily liked the second last tune what is it's title?

Depends as we finished with two songs played together, which was our own song, Save Me and the only cover we do, Priest's Hell Bent For Leather.

But I suspect you mean the song before that, as you asked us whether it was our own song after we played it, that was, Just When I Wasn't Lookin. Let us know how well the recording of it turned out.

    Cheers.

  5. Alright,

I actually already posted about this gig in the Moorings section. But figured that people might look in this forum a bit more.

So will just mention that my band, Vantage Point, are playing at the Moorings this coming Saturday, 16th of July. We are from Edinburgh and are basically a traditional Metal band, influenced by the likes of Priest and Maiden. You can find out more at our website and you can hear our songs from our myspace

  7. My band, Vantage Point are playing the Moorings in a few weeks. It is our first gig in Aberdeen, so obviously not many people will know anything about us. So to hopefully get some people interested I am offering a free two track CD to anyone that wants one. Just send me an e:mail at, admin@vantage-point.info and I will get one sent up to you.
