  1. How fucking grim. Makes me feel like moving back to Glasgow.
  2. internet radio Wouldn't know where to begin. Prefer the hands-on approach.
  3. It's sad, you would have thought that some people would be falling over themselves to promote a fresh injection of new ideas, creativity and choice. I find it hard to believe that the need is not there. Who wants to listen to R&B and barhouse everywhere they go? But short of buying my own club what choice do I have?
  4. Can someone please give me some advice as to how to get involved in djing in Aberdeen. Without naming names I find myself increasingly frustrated at the narrow mindedness of some local promoters but also fully understand the need to make and fill seats/stools. I would like to say that I have quite a wide range of musical tastes and would like to have the opportunity to play something genuinely different/experimental to a wider audience. For reference sake, I'm into stuff like Sun City Girls, Ze/y/99 labels, Krautrock, On U sound/dub, Pyschic TV/T.G./Coil, Current 93, Einsturzende, Laibach, Can, Cave, Northern soul you get the idea. Generally bored of 'barhouse' but like some stuff like Perlon, Trapez, Kompakt etc. I realise this is not what most would call 'dancefloor material' so was thinking more of a Sunday night, chill-out vibe. I cannot afford a cd mixer and so am unable to showcase my ability but can compile a cd of an unmixed 'set' for anyone interested. Apologies for the blatant self-promotion but I believe I could offer something genuinely worthwhile or at least inspire others to do something similar.
