  1. Can't remember the exact details but it was something along the lines of 'one of my mates who used to be the singer in Mind Gone Blind was playing at Tarlair in a band called 'The Shining' the same year that Fish played. After the gig he met Fish in one of the local pubs. He was a huge Fish fan and when he was introduced to him he couldn't even speak, didn't know what to say to him so he punched him instead!!! Fish and one of his bouncers jumped on him and proceeded to beat him up!'

As i said i don't know exactly how much of this is true and how much has been exaggerated over the years. I wasn't there myself so i'm just going on what i've been told!

    :D:D

  2. Want to hear what they're like live? Go here and hear their last gig in Aberdeen. It's a good quality audience recording (which the band approve of).

It's a binaural recording' date=' so sounds best on headphones. BTW if you're just downloading one track as a tester, use one of the later ones, as the band weren't happy with the PA at the start.[/quote']

Cheers Mothership. Had a listen of a couple of tracks tonight after i got all the FLAC programs, etc sorted out. Pretty new to all this!! But it worked!!

They do sound great live, think i will probably venture through to see them. :D

  3. Fish actually told me about an incident that occured on the day he last played at Banff where he met a local loony in The Ship...Banff is full of those!

I've a funny feeling i've heard about this incident!! Any more details? Was it after a gig at Tarlair?

  4. I've never had a problem there' date=' but my mate who fell through a skylight i think in the Commercial Hotel did ?([/quote']

I remember that, it was actually The Seafield Hotel which is no more! Shame, cos it was a great place for bands to play in!

Keith's not that bad if you know who to avoid, same as any other town i suppose!

  5. Aha' date=' it's a small world (wouldn't wanna paint it) but whenever I go past that place in Keith I think of Marillion apparently playing there once or twice. When Fish lived in Fochabers he said Keith was where he discovered Rush and got a knife pulled on him at the Royal Hotel. That'll be Keith "the friendly town" then.[/quote']

The Friendly Town!! Who's bright idea was that! :D

  6. Doesn't that go without saying :D

I think you'll find our friend Snowdog's dad had to fix the powersupply or something so Marillion could play in Keith in 1982 - am i right Snowdog?

Quite correct! They blew a heap of fuses while doing their souncheck!

  7. What the fucks with the Rush and Marillion usernames' date=' Progs dead dudes :D

....this coming from someone that just got a delivery of Marillion cd's and a dvd today :O[/quote']

Our guitarist Cammy's username is Bytor.

Don't suppose anyone who isn't into Rush will have a fuckin' clue what we're on about!!

  8. Not too bad. With a better production these songs would have potential.

I'm sure we played at Drummonds with you lot a while back, think it was a battle of the bands and you definitely had a great live sound that night. More ballsy sounding! If you could recreate that in the studio that would improve your sound a helluva lot!
