  1. I'd like to hear Zombie Crew by Send More Paramedics and Black Cat Bone by Goatsnake. Is this possible and or probable?

WOW!!! Send More Paramedics have been described as a brain-splattered, gore-drenched 80's style thrash metal hardcore band with an obseesion for zombie b movies.

Even better........Send More Paramedics are members of the living dead, cannibalistic zombies consumed with an unholy desire to devour living human brains.

Many have been quick to label Goatsnake as Stoner Rock. What an amalgamation of influences eh......Engine Kid, Obsessed, Wool and Burning Witch.

But.....in answer to your question. What do you think??

  2. HMMMMMMM.........

I'm trying my best to get all your requests - apart from HIM, I can't promise I'll manage to find any of the others. How do you fancy Johnny Cash - the man in Black? Or is it just Dolly Parton that you like?

  3. How about some Dimmu Borgir(Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia)' date=' Opeth(Blackwater Park) and/or Paradise lost, especially Shades of god stuff![/quote']

I've got some Paradise lost - nice one! Will try my best to get the others.

  4. He never actually said he'd play it for me I guess but he's broken our DJ bond. :p

Do you have any of the new American Head Charge stuff? I'll be down viewing The Sultans Of Cripple before Moshulu so it would be pretty pleasing to hear something from that. :)

Good Choice! Your wish is my command!

  5. I've lost my faith in these threads after Chris failed to play my request of 'Paint Nothing' last week.

    For shame Lucifer. For shame...

Mebbe him & Idlewild have fallen out!

For future reference though, I'm not Lucifer and if I promise to play something then I will. (As long as it's not shite!) Hey - I played Cradle of Filth - Lord Abortion!!!

  6. Dragonforce and Rhapsody? Fucking hell' date=' you're a goddess.

Any chance of 'Legions' by Stratovarius, or would I be pushing my luck?.......[/quote']

No Problem! I've got a Stratovarius album - will check if that song is on it. I think it is.

  7. Lucifer Ale at 8% making it's debut tonight just in time for Johnny Lucifer and his Sonic Shake.

Two new fruit beers. Peach spelt 'peche' and no doubt pronounced 'pish'. "Can I have a bottle of pish please?". And strawberry' date=' both very sweet and should be pleasing to Blue WKD fans.

    Castle Lager from South Africa.

And Desparados Tequila Beer @ 6%.

Bring your drinking head and beer goggles...[/quote']

Oh my God!! Castle Lager! That is the most popular alcoholic drink on St. Helena (Where I'm from). Can't believe it's going to be sold in the Moorings! Nice one!

  8. Best pub in Britain and not rough at all. Very friendly and takes its music seriously but nothing else. Certainly not rough in the sense that you'd get a kicking in there. It ain't Aitchies. Or The Broadsword.

    Or The Hen Hoose.

    Or The Clifton Bar.

    Or The Seaton Arms.

I agree. I've been going to this bar for 15 years and I've never seen a fight here - apart from a certain DJ smacking his girlfriend once - that was many years ago. A few of you oldies will recognise this m.o. But seriously when I tell people I go to the Moorings and some folk are like 'OOOH The Moorings - isn't it rough down there' I just feel my hackles rise and get really protective and start telling them all the good things about the place. It is the only bar that I feel comfortable walking into on my own, the bar staff are really cool & friendly and the customers are out of this world - friendly, courteous & polite, a good sense of humour and a good dress sense LOL. It is guaranteed that you can go there and have a good drink and a laugh and hear decent music. Best pub in Scotland!!

Sue.....this is an old thread, I'm DJ-ing this Friday 8th April.

  11. We're looking at changing the format of our Sunday nights. The plan is to incorporate some karaoke and DJing into our open mic night. Our existing DJ decks are spec'd to double up as karaoke disc players from back in the days when we used to incorporate karaoke into the Friday Wreckin' Ball. Seriously. Drove Ceee-Jay mad!

So the plan is that Sunday nights from 6pm we'd setup for the open mic AND karaoke (the two are not totally dissimilar after all) and also have someone DJ during quiet spells. Hence we're looking for a multi-skilled person to act as compere' date=' sing some karaoke stuff to get people going, compere the open mic including performing on vocals (and potentially insturment is multi-skilled), and do a bit of DJing when not much else is happening.

The suitable candidate would possess a sparkling personality and be sufficiently assertive to tell any (totally) talentless fucks that "NO! you can't play at our jam - go home and practice more first".

There would be a commercial aspect to this venture also, we'd be looking for the person the do some promotion and help spread the word. Perhaps design an issue their own flyers. In return there would be an arrangement to take a cut of the proceeds from increased sales.

DO NOT REPLY SAYING "I can't sing and don't like speaking into the mic to be the compere but I'd like to come along and DJ". That would be missing the point entirely!

So if anyone thinks they could hack this, then get in touch![/quote']

Well.....I'm assertive enough to tell people to fuck off.

But seriously.......this sounds the perfect job for you Flash!!
