What does every1 think of the band 'bench'?

I think u usually have to go trhough 1 or 2 shit bands before u realize how bands r formed. By then u shud've made enough contacts. I'd say aswering ads is better than putting ur own up because u can be pretty sure the person is committed.

was any1 at that birds of paradise gig in drakes? what did u think. Some1 I know said they were 'really tight at being shit'. I thought they were shit hot -with their use of dynamics, and dissonance, and they had so much energy. Another person nxt to me had headache - i think if they knew that they'd b proud.

Does any1 know what wud b the best, most neutral sounding type of bass to get for session work?

maybe some1 shud listen to the album bitches brew by miles davis -it had two drummers:Jack DeJonnette and Lenny White. The only thing is Lenny White is really sloppy and generally shite.

Lets c if u can convert me

I'll be in aberdeen on the 31st and i'll b going to the halloween thing in kef to c broken sunshire purely out of curiosity. When I was recording in exile Mark showed us some of ur EP. But I can't make any judgements as it was probably edited to make it tighter etc. ( I know ours was). I wonder if u can convert me to punk as i've been disappointed by a lot of punk bands in aberdeen. I want to c how good u r cos i've heard so many mixed opinions about ur band. I suppose i'm open minded enough to appreciate a good performance any style, but now u have a challenge to convert a jazzer to liking punk.

I'm so bored.... Don't come to edinburgh -the music scene is shit. Gone r the days of the weekly moorings jams for me....
