I've always listened to a lot of stuff that's considered "emo" and I really don't care what anyone says about it. I love Far' date=' I love Fugazi, I love Rites Of Spring, I love Quicksand, I love Embrace and everything in between. Mind you, Atreyu, My Chemical Romance and the like are the reason that everyone has an incredibly poor impression of the whole thing. I remember when I first got into the "scene" as it were, when no one had heard of "emo" or any of the bands. Those were great, uncomplicated times. I will always happily admit that I like emo.[/quote']
Well said young man, buts its like any genre, they get highjacked by the mainstrean press, etc, and spawns a monster with average bands.

Now I feel old, oh my Earache days, probably Streetcleaner is my fave, think the track that stands out to me is Locust Furnace. Have been listen to a lot of Fudge Tunnel recently, they were a "rockier" Godflesh.

It was an ace night. Left the Gun Club early (which was also ace) to go home as I had work early the next morning' date=' but thought Id pop by to see what was on in Exo. Glad I did cos it turned out to be the best night out in ages! Not particularly musicwise but loads of fun people. You always meet people you know in Exo and the atmosphere is always great. Thats why I prefer it to moshulu etc. God I love Exodus.[/quote']

Call me old fashioned or maybe it was the drink, but what a great gig, true the music was shit, but me and my daughter, along with some others, enjoyed the vibe.
