If interested then best to email me at:stevenmilne82@hotmail.com

    Thanks

    Roland MC303 Groovebox

    Drum machine/ sequencer

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_MC-303

In great and fully working condition with adaptor.

Some slightly faded white keys but I think it looks cooler for it.

I am 90% sure I have the manual.

If not you can get it from the Wikipedia page.

    Takes midi in.

Apparently they are worth about £250.00/ $400 now.

Selling for £120-150 or nearest offer as they are going for about £180 on E-Bay and I think they’ll become one of those old school sought after pieces of kit to have eventually but in the meantime I dont have a use for it so would like someone to get the good of it. I also know its not boxed and im looking to sell quick so open to offers - let me know if interested.

    Roland MC909 Phraselab

If not you can get it from here: http://www.roland.com/products/en/MC-09/

Takes midi in and is useable live.

I believe they’re pretty hard to come by now (only one going on eBay from Australia going for £200+).

Selling for £120-150 or nearest offer as I think they’ll also become one of those old school sought after pieces of kit to have. Its not boxed and im looking to sell quick so let me know if interested. Ive mucked about with this one a lot and it’s a cool piece of kit and Im sad to see it go.

I have gigged this one a lot before and the knobs have been replaced but they’ve been replaced with vintage ones which look pretty cool. I guess there is a bit of rusting on the scratch plate and a fair few knocks on it here and there but its still all good.

I was offered £150 for it last year but didnt sell and now I think Id sell it for like £80-£100 to be honest as I think although it’s a good guitar and I really like it, It has been played a fair bit so it would be unfair for me to charge more. Id put new strings on it also and ill get RandB to give it a quick service before I hand it over so that its all 100% in good nick for any buyer.

    Comes with soft case.

I used this one for a while but ultimately I don’t really play it much so I have decided to sell it. I have kept it in good nick and apart from a few chips (on the side) and scratches on back (I think maybe from a belt buckle while playing) its in good condition. Its had its switch and input replaced in the last couple of years so that definitely wont need any work for a while (I believe sometimes they need replaced after time). I found it to have much more sustain than a Telecaster and a lot more beef/ punch to it whenever I play it. I really like it but I think id like to see someone else get the use of it as opposed to it just sitting spare.

I think id sell it for £180/ £200 and id happily put some new strings on this one also. I know that it doesn’t need serviced as it got down a wee bit ago or id offer to do that too.

    Comes with soft case.

    Pedals:

Also selling some Boss pedals ive aaccumulated and a BCB 60 pedal case should anyone be interested:

  2. 2012 winners - cool.

However, seeing that 2006 win makes me feel old - we must have just started/ been babies when that happened.

Was DJing at Lemon Tree on Saturday but had i been at the awards I would have loved the chance to do a Halle Berry Oscars style gusher of a speech. Sadly my chance has passed it seems.

    Cheers Fudge.

  3. We are proud to release the exciting new single "Prometheus" from the fantastic IndianRedLopez. The title track is complimented by “The Third Incision” and a bang tidy remix of “An Iron Fist” by Ryan Davidson.

    Buy it from Bandcamp HERE:

or if you prefer I-Tunes the single is available HERE

The release of “Prometheus” so soon after the release of the bands debut album, “Empty Your Lungs And Breathe”, shows a band not willing to rest on their laurels and full of creativity. In the case of “Prometheus” IndianRedLopez have created a track which strongly hints at a new direction for their music while keeping just enough in the mix of what made them special already.

Don't just take our word for it, check out these early reviews from Rave Child and The Leftover Sessions who also keenly believe that "Prometheus" and IRL are something special indeed!

Catch the band live at the following dates (full info on the Gigs page):

    09.12.11 20 Rocks, Falkirk

16.12.11 Bedford Records Xmas Party at The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen

    17.12.11 Hootenannys, Inverness

    All shows 8.00pm

    + DJ STEVEN MILNE

Loosen Up returns for the first of TWO events in December with special live guests!

JJ BULL will play with his Dinosaurs to mark the release of his new album!

Following on from his debut release which was a great album he will release his second album proper 'Crocothilos' as a digital only release but will play tracks from the new album along with old faves at this show!

    Support TBC

The night kicks off at 8pm and the bands will be on between then and 11pm followed by DJs till 1am.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    www.jjbull.co.uk

When pressed on his new album JJ had this to say:

"So the second album is called 'Crocothilos' and has been in production for pretty much the last year and a half. The songs start where 'Ou Sont' left off and are made up of a lot of things that have happened over the last two years and reflect a lot to my childhood and how I've probably grown up since then.

There's a lot of LCD and Phoenix influence there and I'd like to think the songs are a little bit simpler, better composed and better written than the first record.

The album is a digital only release and will be available on iTunes and all the usual places within the next week and a half. It might be on Spotify but I haven't decided yet, it probably will to be honest.

It will also be either preceded by or released at the same time as my Christmas song: 'Santa, I'm still your boy', but again I haven't decided that yet. I might release that mid december."

  5. Few other bits of press to report:

The Pop Cop, Glasgow Music blog have included mentions of the album in their press along with Music Week and a few other sites.

We're recording a session for Jim Gellatly tomorrow for InDemand which will be aired on Sunday - 3 acoustic tracks and a bit of chat.

The Evening Express will be running a preview piece this week as will the Kiousque.

We are currently writing a tour diary with photos to be published on The Leftover Sessions website next week.

They ran a preview HERE: http://theleftoversessions.co.uk/2011/11/15/the-little-kicks-tour-and-album-details/

Aside from that we are listed on NME;s upcoming release list HERE which suggests they at least have us on their radar - a review would be magic but unlikely: http://www.nme.com/reviews/releases

Jim Gellatly has also played our track Loosen Up alongside some great bands on his Radio Magnetic show- download the podcast HERE:

    http://radiomagnetic.com/main-features/episode-159/

STV have done a preview piece on the hometown launch show here.

    http://local.stv.tv/aberdeen/news/27116-album-launch-for-aberdeen-band/

Anyway, just getting caught up on press coming in and thought id share.

Album launch on saturday so hope to see the Aberdeen folks there.

  7. Just seen this and looking back at my Ical would suggest - aye - twas me!

To the guys who applauded -thanks as it helped!

Ive actually stopped doing the gigs at Musa - did a few but i found it to end up being a pretty hard slog.

Dont get me wrong - love the place and Im totally happy to be background at these type of things when people are eating etc.

The first time i did it there was a lovely couple in who were really sweet and asked for CDs etc and it was a nice atmosphere.

But i just found on my 3rd/4th visit when it was dead quiet that it was a touch soul destroying to play for 2 hours there.

The last one i did particularly soul destroying so i havent been back but i also havent been asked back - they could maybe tell my heart wasnt 100% in it. Not that im not professional but i think at one point you wouldnt have even known the guitar was plugged in and i think its more suited to noodling piano than my stuff.

But yeah, the applause was VERY appreciated on that occasion.

Really good atmosphere too and no chatting!

The Twilight guys seemed to really enjoy it and they were taken aback a bit by the crowd. Good work Aberdeen.

I probably played the worst set ive played in about a year but ah well, thats what I get for caning it all last week and going to Wizard Festival instead of practicing.
