    Ross Nicoll and the Mannequins formed in April 2004. Originally a solo project, Ross draft in musicians to try and recreate live what he had previously records on his first demo.

    The band have been gigging regularly over the last year, and after only seven gigs, secured a deal with Aberdeen based indie label Fat Hippy Records. The band has been likened to latter-day Manic Street Preachers mixed with a healthy dose of the Doves.

    THE SCORE have decided that the time has come to disband and

    go their separate ways.

    They will play their final gig at The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen on

    Saturday 5th February.

    Support will come from Eddison, Exist and The Method. Tickets are

    onsale now from the Lemon Tree box office priced 5 / 3.25 cons.

    Doors open at 9pm with first band on at 9.30pm.

    The band would like to thank their fans, everyone who has come to

    see them over the years, all the bands that they have shared a stage

    with, all the promoters, the venues & their staff, people in the press

    and media, Fat Hippy Records, Bluemink Music Management, stockists

    of their music, the numerous recording studios, engineers (studio & live)

    and everyone that has given them a chance and shared the belief.

    blueminkmusicmanagement have added Dundee based 4 piece KILLER ANGELS to its roster.

    KILLER ANGELS are a hard edged rock band that take riffs, hooks and solos out of the

    Hendrix and Page school of guitar whilst they are driven by a juggernaut rhythm section

    and have a front man that has the passion of Liam Gallaghers voice and swagger of

    Bobby Gillespie. There are moments you can hear a pin drop, followed by explosions

    of music that tear your ears apart. The Music but harder edged, a band that are in the

    same genre as TCTC and Kasabian, the Led Zep of this generation? Who knows?

    KILLER ANGELS are just back from playing their 4th Death Disco gig in London for

    Alan McGee and have a Fierce Panda showcase gig lined up for the start of October.

  6. LADY MERCEDES + ATRIUM + KILLER ANGELS + STAR

    SATURDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER @ THE LEMON TREE

    Dundee's KILLER ANGELS will play their first Lemon Tree show on

    Saturday replacing US rock band Rockets and Cars who had to pull

    out due to touring commitments.

    Fresh for playing at Alan McGee's Death Disco in London this will be

    the debut gig at The Lemon Tree for KILLER ANGELS. The band

    have already played 4 Death Disco's in London in thier short 18

    month existance. They were personally invited by Alan McGee after

    hearing an early demo and a mutaul friendship with the late Joe

    Strummer.

    Atrium's material, covers a range of moods and feelings all held together

    in well crafted, stunning songs, coupled with a brilliant live show make

    them the band to see in 2004. The band have just completed their debut

    EP which will be launched tonight.

    Fat Hippy Records indie rockers Star complete the bill and bring their

    high-octane set of songs which are fuelled with enormous energy. Their

    unique brand of Rock n Roll has to be seen to be believed!

  8. This years goNORTH Festival taking place in Aberdeen on 9th & 10th of June.

    goNORTH is a festival for contemporary and cutting edge music of all genres. It highlights the best emerging talent from Scotland and some of the best new contenders from the rest of the UK, Ireland and further a field.

    goNORTH 2004 showcases will be focused on Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th June in 6 venues based on Belmont Street in the heart of Aberdeen. There will also be local label showcases over the 2 days by Fat Hippy Records (industry only) and Planet Boo (DR Drakes - Real Shocks, Le Reno Amps + support).

    Gotham Records (UK)/Midem 2004 International Music Convention

    Gotham Records will be representing The Score at next years Midem International Music Convention.

    MIDEM is the biggest international music convention in the world which happens in Cannes, France in January every year. It's where international music executive's gather to make deals for their music and pick up material from other markets.

    This is a massive opportunity for the band to have their material exposed to the worldwide music, entertainment and media industries and with Gotham Records network of existing contacts gives the bands music an invaluable route in to these companies and top decision makers.

    Gotham Records will also represent the band for some time after Midem as they seek to find other deals and opportunities for the band. They will work in conjunction with bluemink management to find the best deals for The Score.

    KEF Headline gig

    The Score with support from Lady Mercedes and Dougals Room will be playing at KEF on Belmont Street, Aberdeen on Saturday 29th November. Doors are at 7pm and tickets are 4 available on the door or in advance from One Up Records on Belmont Street (tel. 01224 642662). This show will have an early finish of 10.30pm. Book early as this show is likely to sell out quickly.

    The Score have been confirmed as the support for Shed 7's Aberdeen leg of their farewell UK tour at The Forum on Skene Street on Monday 1st December.

    Shed Seven have announced they will disband at the end of their current UK tour. Sixteen consecutive Top Forty UK hits, ten appearances on Top Of The Pops and a fanbase as big & loyal as Shed Sevens is a testament to their live performances and superb songs. A decade of hard work has produced a skilled, dedicated, professional & durable band that consistently play to sold out concert halls.     AGS Young Enterprise Compilation CD

    The Score have lent there support to this years Aberdeen Grammer School's Young Enterprise Company Compilation CD. The CD is a compilation of Aberdeen bands and the bands song 'Love is on my Side' will feature as the first track on the CD. The CD will be available from One Up Records on Belmont Street towards the end of November priced 5.

    The Score release their debut single Someday Soon on October 6th on Fat Hippy Records.
