  1. I just finally got my Eddie Izzard DVDs back after a year. Watched Dress To Kill again, and it still makes me laugh. Attempted to give Sexie another go (I've never watched it the whole way through) and it got shut off after a very unfunny 15 minutes. What happened to Eddie?

Yeah Sexie is quite poor by his standards, Dress to Kill was the first one I saw and still my favourite. Just stuck all his shows in Audio format on my ipod. Should brighten up the commute!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned David Cross but he's damn good. Can find a few of his shows in audio on torrentspy, limewire etc.

  2. Well Episode 9 was ok, nothing too special.

The episode was just a plot device to get them off the Alcatraz island and needed to be done. The Kate/sawyer stuff was a bit crap and the Jack back story in Thailand did nothing for me. Onwards and upwards now, all back on the same Island and lots of fun to be had!

  3. i imagine the return leg of the man u match could be interesting. did you see the french manager trying to take his team off the pitch after conceding? classic

Good chance they'll be chucked out by then anyway!

I don't really understand what all the fuss was about, the Giggs goal was perfectly legitimate. They should really brush up on there knowledge of the game. Fergie was absolutely fizzing/bemused afterwards.

  5. Well I think episode 1 has just started in America...

the reason 4 episodes were leaked was becasue at the 24 season 6 launch party they gave out dvd's of the first 4 episodes and those got leaked on the internet.

No I think there on episode 5 now.

There was a launch night with two episodes back to back, then another two episodes shown the next night. This could have been a reaction to the leaked DVDs mind you.

It's pretty good so far, but has still got some elements that piss me off. i.e. Chloe. Episode four was a cracker and pretty unexpected.

  6. Bathurst and Bloor has a massive record shop and it's just across the road from Honest Ed's. There is also some of the finest Korean cusine I have ever tasted there!

Bloor St is the one with the fancy shops when you get nearer to Yonge, not Bathurst as Woombler said by the way. Not that you'll be interested in Louis Vutton purses!

  7. I can see him leaving at the end of this season, citing that the British media are too intrusive. In other words, blaming someone else for his departure to Inter Milan.

He can be brilliant, especially when he slags Wenger. Always hilarious.

  8. Comparing it Lost isn't that great. Lost's viewer ratings are falling by the minute.

I'm glad BBC2 has it and not Scum One.

    Thanks for the podcast link!

I'll check it out. I've only been used to Lostcasts.com for Lost podcast(which is done very well).

Apparently the creatorof Lost and Heroes both spoke before about how it'd be cool to overlap the two stories(as there is some similarity behind the ideas-especially the coincidence of how people bump into each other), but due to them both both being owned by rival companies it will never happen.

Yeah the podcast is pretty decent not checked out any other ones, although I think there's a heroescast.com. I like the Lostcast folk, really in depth. Great listening for my daily commute!

  9. Oh and Heroes, I knew that there was no more til the end of January, and episode 10 ended without a huge "what happens next moment", but I couldn't stop myself from watching 11 and I really wish I hadn't, I need to know what happens next. I've fallen in love with the program (especially Hiro)

If they cancel this show there will be war!

It wont be getting cancelled, it's getting 15million viewers a week in the US, which isn't too far off Lost nowadays.

BBC2 have got the rights to Heroes if anyones interested but I'm guessing most folk reading this thread are downloaders. Also theres a pretty good heroes podcast here The 10th Wonder Podcast - NBC Heroes

  10. I also look on Pilkipedia.co.uk regularly, which is a message board devoted to Karl Pilkington, Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant, and their various projects.

Cool I go on that too, really good for downloading their various projects.

I also frequent Donstalk but it's down just now so slumming it a afc-chat

  11. i don't see any scottish football these days (apart from celtic in the champions league on irish telly) so why are rangers so bad????

PLG has no clue about Scottish football and has bought some complete Donkeys (Sebo, Svensson, Sionko). He also persists with this weird 4-3-3 formation that works in Europe but not in the SPL. He'll be on his way if they lose anymore games this month.

    It's all very funny!
