  1. If you update the baby karma website before the gig it might be worth adding it to the site. If someone designs a poster(should point out it would have to black and white because the colour copies are a bit pricey for me to afford...being poor student and all  ) I can get some copies made at uni, and I'm happy to put them up in the music shops etc

  2. If that is the case and Tsunami aid is no longer accepting donations then that doesn't mean people shouldn't still support this gig. The famine in Ethiopia has been going on for over 20 years now and if anything is getting worse - a gig like this should have taken place ages ago' date=' and not just once either.

Persevere guys, it would be a real shame to see this fall through. I'm sure that once [b']confirmed as going ahead if everyone pulls together we could easily generate the interest for tickets that an event like this so deserves.

Yip totally agree with you there! Right on!

And Stuart-I'm happy to help out with posters/flyers for the gig as well.

  3. yip can see your point, think the organisers are doing a good job tho because its quite an ambitious gig to pull off. I could be wrong on this but I think the emphasis is more on the Band Aid charity now because I'm not totally sure if Tsumani appeal is still accepting donations.

<warning take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I know nothing..well very little, and the rest I make up as I go along  >

  4. To start off I wasn't given a reason at all so I phoned the woman that booked me who was very nice, and had no idea why the money was taken off. It was the duty manager that took the money off and so I waited to hear what he had to say, and his original story is I took too long a break ...the next day it then changed to I only played for an hr (which isn't true for I played longer than my hour and a half by 10 mins). Pretty sure the guy took the money off cos he didn't like my music (I don't care if folks hate what I do but I still have to be paid the amount agreed). I was told the decision was taken before I had my break that money was to be deducted if I took too long but no-one informed me of this until afterwards. When I was booked I was told it was pretty flexible...I just had to play 2x 45 min sets between 5.30-8.30 or even between 6-9 if I preferred. It's just not professional to deduct cash without explaining why before you do it..if I hadn't asked I wouldn't have been told a reason.
