  1. would anyone have any suggestions/spaces/etc for glasgow-based foxface?

they are an alt-country three piece in the vein of bonnie prince billy, palace, etc.

they recently supported magnolia electic co.

    they are also very good.

any help would be appreciated, especially for the dates 14th/15th of october.

    thanks!

  3. ah, gravefeast.

i hope my night isn't ruined by walking in on sharon lindsay and joe hearty naked, like last year.

    i wear skeleton skull sunglasses.

i wear swan and ann shirt.

    i wear ladies cardigan.

i drink buckfast, and gin, old friends.

i'm glad sandy isn't coming, he kicked my dog last week.

also, he got really drunk and shouted and swore really loudly at my sister's wedding last year, about incest.

so we're not on speaking terms.

  4. i watched that glow 303 gig from their dressing room (where the balcony used to be).

it was a great gig as i remember. i was lucky..

i don't really like them anymore, but i have all their singles that they released on cd (from hope is important until 100 broken windows). if anyone wishes to purchase any of these off me, i'll consider selling them for the right price (generally the more rare ones would be slightly more).

i also have a signed drum skin used on the 1998 tour, a signed copy of HII and a signed poster (i was a bit of a fan in those days).

  5. i'd really like to see blastcap, on a burning cross, being forced to sing all the hits of oasis through a pneumatic mechanism in his mouth, whilst young brats from his street upset him by waving around bottles of alcohol he can't get to.

  6. i think they're one of my favourite bands. i like both albums equally.

i think this sums up my feelings on them perfectly:

    http://pitchforkmedia.com/record-reviews/b/boards-of-canada/music-has-the-right-to-children-reissue.shtml

"Boards managed to evoke childhood without seeming cute or twee. It's childhood not as it's lived but as we grown-ups remember it, at least those of us with less-than-fond recollections. The shades of darkness and undercurrents of tension (qualities which came further to the fore on 2002's Geogaddi) accurately reflect the confusion of a time that cannot be neatly summed up with any one feeling or emotion."

the weirdest occurance of one of their songs was 'happy cycling' in the background of a scene in six feet under, series 2.

al - is that a photo of gordon cole as your avatar?

...I SAID, IS THAT A PHOTO OF GORDON COLE AS YOUR AVATAR?!! YOU'LL HAVE TO SPEAK UP!!

    aces!
