James Yorkston and the Athletes: plus Adem

Doors Open: 9pm

Show Starts: 9.30pm

James Yorkston:

Fife alt.folk troubadour James Yorkston hits the road in support of his new Kieran Hebden (Four Tet) produced album Just Beyond The River. It's the eagerly anticipated follow-up to his debut record, Moving Up Country, which was rapturously received on its release two years ago.

James is a former member of the band Huckleberry and an associate of the Fence Collective, whose bucolic, acoustic sound is very much in tune with his own.

Adem:

Fronting his own four-piece acoustic band, Fridge's bassist has stepped out into the light with a wealth of beautiful songs, perfectly arranged for acoustic guitars, autoharp, harmonium, percussion and double-bass. Adem's honest vocal delivery and hymn-like song structures present his tightly wrought musical vision with great style. Adem's debut single 'Everything You Need/Statued' was released last year on Rough Trade's For-Us 7" label, and since then he and the band have been playing successful shows around the UK, most recently headlining at the ICA.
