Her third studio album: So It Turns. Recorded in Berlin, three years ago, and inspired by her time studying & volunteering at a Buddhist monastery, ‘So It Turns’ will be released in August 2019. Rachel Sermanni is a dynamic (in many senses of the word) singer and songwriter whose performance and lyrics draw from a deep well of mystic lore, dreams, nature and the simple complex experience of being human. A contemporary folk musician, influenced by a wealth of genres including jazz, rock, old-time and traditional. A visual artist who enjoys to draw Naked Ladies and has co-directed a number of her own music videos. She was born in the Highlands of Scotland in ’91. Since 2011, Rachel Sermanni has toured the globe, played alongside artists such as Mumford & Sons, Fink, Ron Sexsmith, John Grant, The Staves, Karine Polwart, The Maes and many many more. To name just a few UK festival appearances: The Great Escape, Liverpool Sound City, Belladrum, Wickerman, Loopallu, Reading & Leeds, HebCelt, and Celtic Connections. Festivals, worldwide: Woodford Folk Fest (Australia), Lotus World Music (Indiana, USA), Rocky Mountain Folks Fest (CO. Rachel Sermanni’s creativity - and career in with - hasn’t occurred without help. Family members, peers, teachers and employees have been ever supportive and wise in advice and observations. Most of Rachel’s astrological being resides in the 5th house; The House Of Fun. Whether or not you adhere to horoscopic notions or not, this works as a succinct way to explain that, for her, Creation equals existence and Creative Expression equals Joy. Go witness the joy. She’s on her way to you. ‘Folk Noir Gem’ - The Times ‘Minimal, Murky, Magnificent’ – MOJO ‘Stately, Poetic, Rooted in the Traditional’ – CLASH ‘Full of Life, and landscape, and promise’ - The List ‘Folk of the Highest Order’ - Time Out www.facebook.com/pg/RachelSermanni WILLIAM FREEMAN Originally born and raised in Jersey, Channel Islands before moving to a quaint seaside town in the North-East of Scotland, William Freeman is a 25 year old singer/songwriter who draws inspiration from his surroundings and personal experiences throughout his life.
