-- Official Press Release --

Coming all the way from Ipswich to collide with some of Aberdeen and Glasgows most exciting underground acts are This Sudden Injury and A Fate Untold. The English pop punk / post hardcore acts will be sharing a stage with headliners on the night, Search Party, and other great Scottish bands; 11:11 and theWETFLEX.

This is going to be a great, diverse night of proper Daily Dischord endorsed rock music and you really shouldn't be missing out. 5 a ticket means you are getting to see a band for a quid. That's less than a pint! Check out individual articles on the bands below and buy your tickets now.

First up on a stellar line up is Aberdeens very own theWETFLEX, a band who effortlessly power through a set like they've been playing together for years. Focussing on entertaining the crowd with their technical off-kilter pop rock music, along with between-song banter, these guys will be sure to kick things off in the best of fashion. Do not miss theWETFLEX. If they can't put a smile on your face, you're dead inside.

"The four band members make things look completely effortless and I would pay good money to see these guys again. A technically gifted band who write great songs to compliment their musical prowess." - Review of theWETFLEX

A Fate Untold are one of the two touring English bands on the line up. Hailing from Ipswich, the pop punk quartet will be touring the UK after hitting the studio to record some songs with producer Matt O'Grady (Don Broco, Deaf Havana). The band excel in blasting out powerful pop punk tunes and have been seen hitting the stage in Ipswich with the aforementioned bands, Mexico Falls, Me Vs Hero, and many more. Don't miss out on what will be an energetic set from these guys.

Aberdeens very own 11:11 (Eleven Eleven) will be sandwiched between the two touring bands, offering a well crafted slice of post hardcore which has been evolving steadily since the inclusion of a second guitarist. The quintet have been playing plenty gigs around the local circuit after the release of their Daily Dischord approved debut EP "Memoirs Part 1", and if you like your post hardcore loaded with emotion, their is no better band out there to satisfy your needs.

"Peterhead post-hardcore quartet 11:11s debut EP is an unquestionably solid first foot on the ladder. Passionately delivered and full to bursting with stadium-sized melodies, its a collection thats by turns ambient, anthemic and bludgeoning, and if nothing else, its likely to keep you interested enough to see what comes next from them." - Review of 11:11's debut EP "Memoirs Part One"

The second of our touring bands will be Ipswich based This Sudden Injury. The quartet have only been playing for what is just over a year now and already have cemented a solid fan base in their native town, impressing the masses with their pop tinged post-hardcore. The bands EP "Ghosts" is available to download for free and if you are a fan of Polar bear Club, you quite simply cannot miss This Sudden Injury. Check out the EP and if you like, join the band in their first ever Aberdeen date!

"Coming across as the bastard son of Polar Bear Club and Taking Back Sunday, these five young upstarts have produced a debut EP to be proud of, one that bristles with energy anddare I say itemotion." - Review of debut EP "Ghosts"

Finishing the night off is Daily Dischord's very good friends in Glasgows Search Party. These guys are no stranger to the Aberdeen scene, recently supporting While She Sleeps in one of Daily Dischord's previous gigs. Search Party have been playing their southern influenced hardcore since 2008 and have played up and down the country with some of the genres heavy weights in Dead Swans, This Is Colour, Doomriders (Deathwish Inc), Deez Nuts and so many more. Be sure to catch our Glaswegian wrap up a very special night of some of Daily Dischord's favourite underground bands of the UK. You can download the bands EP for free below!

I don't really know if anyone is reading this but anyway, I will throw it up. I interviewed theWETFLEX in preparation of the gig on the 23rd. This bill is quite varied so if you're bored on the day, come along and you might find something you like in the two bands coming from Ipswich.
