The hugely entertaining
Anna Massie
and
Mairearad Green
return to Banchorys
Woodend Barn
on
Saturday 12 June 8pm
. Providing a highly energetic performance, you can expect accomplished musicianship from these two award-winning multi-instrumentalists with humour, charisma and stories to match.

"It should be illegal to be so young and so talented!"
[Dirty Linen]

Having played together for over 8 years now, Mairearad and Anna have an intuitive approach to each others musical ideas and interpretations and share an innate understanding of Scottish culture and music. . They both perform individually with some of the hottest numbers on the Scottish folk scene today such as The Poozies, Blazin Fliddles, Karen Matheson, Box Club, Eddi Reader, Karine Polwart and The Unusual Suspects.

Multi-instrumentalist Anna plays the fiddle, mandolin and tenor banjo, and she is also a most impressive guitarist er. As well as live performances Anna is a busy recording artist with appearances on Michael McGoldricks "Wired," and Phil Cunningham & Aly Bain's "Roads Not Travelled" amongst many others.

Mairearad Greens deft and lyrical accordion playing is an excellent match for Annas talents. Mairearad is one of Scotlands finest musical exports as a performer and composer. One of her latest recordings was featured on Eddi Readers deluxe album and Eddi herself called it the best Scottish tune I have heard in years, Mairearad is a genius!

Its always a top quality evening when these girls are in town - not to be missed!
