With a warm, personal approach that brings out the story in every song, this daughter of the well-known Scottish jazz clan came late to jazz singing but has been making up for lost time, adding the life experiences she gained beforehand to give real meaning to a lyric. Accompanied by a band comprising piano (Paul Harrison), bass (Euan Burton) and drums (Stu Ritchie) and with special guest Colin Steele on trumpet, Cathie promises a stylish, swinging session at the Blue Lamp.
