Vintage Hammond A100 for sale

Up for sale is my vintage UK-spec Hammond A100 tonewheel organ (non-etched drawbars), complete with pedalboard and bench. The serial number dates it to around 1963/4, and it is a factory European-spec organ, not a converted American import.

The A100 is exactly the same mechanically as the B3/C3, but comes with an internal amplifier and reverb. This one is also fitted with a 9-pin Leslie connector kit for hookup to a 710 or 760, and has two halfmoon switches - a Main/Echo/Ensemble switch and a Chorale/Off/Tremolo switch.

The organ is in fantastic mechanical condition, having been overhauled internally about 3 years ago. The cosmetic condition is good, although as may be expected, there are a few signs of wear and tear to the woodwork. I'd always meant to refinish it, but to be honest, I've had too much fun playing it to set aside the time!

She starts easily, all notes sound exactly as they should, and the keyboards still have a lovely firm action. The lower preset keys don't always latch as quickly as they should. I've traced the problem to a leaf spring that needs replacing. It's a common problem and an easy fix, just a bit fiddly. You're very welcome to come and try her out.

I'm just outside Dundee - if you'd like to come and have a look, message me, or give me a call on 01382 542334.
